Dear friends, we invite you all to our Community Museum project, an initiative of Aram Thinai and Chirpi (A unit of Chisel Montessori School). This started as a place-based learning programme that enabled students to rediscover the interconnected wetlands and local ecologies surrounding Nanganallur and Adambakkam. Through classroom sessions, field visits, community interactions, and artistic explorations, students engaged with the ecological histories, biodiversity, and social narratives embedded within the Pallikaranai watershed. They documented oral histories, observed landscapes, and reflected on processes of urbanisation, ecological loss, and community resilience. These learnings were transformed into artworks, maps, films, and narratives, culminating in a community museum that archives local memories and ecological knowledge. The community museum titled as “Last Drop” will be kept for public showcase on June 19, 2026 from 4 PM to 7:30 PM at Independence day Park.
