Awareness Program on Cooperative Movement Successfully Conducted:

An awareness program on the cooperative movement was successfully organized at Raja Ram Mohan Roy High School under the joint auspices of the Darjeeling District Cooperative Union and the West Bengal State Cooperative Union.

​Additionally, there was enthusiastic participation from the school's teachers and students.
​The primary objective of the program was to inform students about the history of the cooperative movement, its importance, and the role of cooperative societies in social and economic development. Speaking on the occasion, the speakers shed light on cooperative principles, membership, savings and credit management, and collective responsibility, while inspiring the youth generation to actively participate in the cooperative campaign.
​The program concluded with a Q&A session, where students asked questions regarding cooperatives and gained useful insights. The organizing institutions expressed their commitment to continuing such programs in the days to ahead.

The event commenced at 11:00 am with the arrival of the Chief Guest, Sir Aim Pathik Chhetri (Ex- Headmaster)accompanied by founder members and retired teachers.The formal proceedings began with the traditional lighting of the lamp, symbolizing the dispelling of ignorance through the light of knowledge. Miss Nisha Pradhan welcomed the gathering and presented a brief retrospective journey of the school. The speech highlighted key milestones from the school's humble beginnings to its current standing as a leading educational institution.

In a thought-provoking address, Teacher - Incharge of the school Sir Hrishav Rai welcomed the gathering and presented a comprehensive overview of the school's journey. The speech beautifully balanced a deep sense of gratitude for past achievements with a clear, forward-looking vision for the future.He also placed special emphasis on the importance of holistic development, urging students to balance academic rigor with strong moral character and co-curricular pursuits.

​The heart of the celebration was a vibrant cultural program put together by students across all grade levels.A fusion dance performance blending traditional folk elements with contemporary styles, highlighting unity in diversity.The cultural segment of the day came alive with a series of melodious singing performances and moving poem recitations. The school choir enchanted the audience with harmonious melodies that celebrated themes of unity and hope, while individual students took the stage to deliver powerful poem recitations. Expressed with deep emotion and flawless diction, the recitations captured themes of nature, love, and resilience, leaving the audience spellbound.

The highlight of the formal proceedings was the highly anticipated address by our Chief Guest. Delivering an incredibly motivating speech, the Chief Guest captivated the audience with real-life anecdotes, emphasizing that true education extends far beyond the walls of a classroom. They urged the students to embrace curiosity, resilience, and ethical leadership, reminding them that their education is a powerful tool to bring positive change to society.

A pivotal moment of the celebration was the address by our esteemed founding members Sir Mahendra Pradhan and Sir Umesh Pariyar.The atmosphere grew charged with inspiration as the founding members took the stage. Moving beyond standard pleasantries, they delivered powerful speeches filled with wisdom gleaned from decades of dedication. They spoke passionately about the school's humble beginnings, reminding everyone that an institution is built on character, not just concrete. Their words served as both a heartfelt tribute to the past and a visionary roadmap for the school's future.In their deeply inspiring speeches, they took a nostalgic walk down memory lane, sharing the initial challenges and the vision that led to the birth of the institution. A major highlight of the event was the grand felicitation ceremony dedicated to our Madhyamik students who cleared their board examinations with flying colors. The high-achievers were called on stage and honored with kadas and token of love by the Chief Guest and founding members. This segment not only recognized the students rigorous academic dedication but also acknowledged the tireless guidance of the faculty and the unwavering support of the parents.

The entire proceedings of the day were seamlessly anchored by Sir Tilak Thakuri and Sir Suman Pariyar .Serving as the masters of ceremonies, they guided the audience through the dense schedule with poise, keeping the momentum alive and ensuring a flawless transition between the various cultural segments and formal speeches.

In the presidential address, the President of the Day Sir Suresh Pradhan delivered a profound and visionary speech that anchored the core message of the celebration.
