A devastating road accident in Gujarat's Vadodara claimed six lives, including a nine-year-old child, after a luxury bus crashed into a stationary truck in the early hours of Wednesday.🚨💔

The bus, operated by Balaji Travels, was travelling from Banswara in Rajasthan to Surat in Gujarat when it rammed into the rear of a truck near Kotambi International Cricket Stadium at around 4 a.m. Most passengers were reportedly asleep when the collision occurred.

The impact was so severe that the front portion of the bus was completely crushed, trapping several passengers inside. Emergency teams, including police, firefighters and rescue personnel, rushed to the spot and launched a large-scale rescue operation. Rescue workers had to cut open parts of the bus to pull out trapped passengers.

Among those killed were Vinod Damor (30), Mukesh Dindor (34), Preet Bhatia (9) and Mahendra Pandya (68). Around 30 people sustained injuries, including children, and were shifted to nearby hospitals for treatment.

🚑 Authorities are investigating the exact cause of the crash. The tragic incident has once again raised concerns about highway safety and the dangers of long-distance overnight travel.

Delhi Police Special Cell has busted an alleged Pakistan-linked terror and criminal network operating across Delhi-NCR, leading to the arrest of seven accused in a major security operation.🚨🇮🇳

Police said the network was allegedly being run under the directions of Pakistan-based handlers Shahzad Bhatti and Ajmal Gujjar. The group was involved in smuggling illegal weapons, ammunition and narcotics into India through Punjab before supplying them across the Delhi-NCR region.

During the operation, authorities recovered five pistols, 41 live cartridges, seven mobile phones and a Scorpio vehicle. Investigators found that some members of the group had allegedly carried out reconnaissance of sensitive locations in Delhi, Ghaziabad and nearby areas, with photographs and videos reportedly being shared with handlers across the border.

Police also stated that the accused collected consignments of weapons and narcotics dropped through drones near the Punjab border and transported them into Delhi-NCR. Intelligence inputs had flagged plans for major criminal and terror-related activities, leading to a series of operations that resulted in multiple arrests.

Several of those arrested were already facing serious criminal cases, including murder, attempted murder, dacoity, Arms Act violations and narcotics-related offences. The investigation is continuing as police search for other suspects, financiers and arms suppliers linked to the network.
