Empowering Educators for a Future-Ready Classroom
The first day of the SET Continuous Professional Development (CPD) Programme on 28 May 2026 brought together educators for an enriching journey of learning, reflection, and innovation.
The day commenced with “Demystifying the SET IT Policy” by Mr. Deepak Bablani, who simplified key aspects of the Trust’s IT framework, including AI ethics, cybersecurity, data protection, disaster recovery, and e-waste management. The session reinforced the importance of shared responsibility in ensuring safe and effective technology use across schools.
The second session, “Competency Based Assessment,” led by Smt. Jyotsna Grover and Smt. Priyanka Barara, challenged traditional notions of assessment. Through engaging activities, puzzles, and real-world scenarios, participants explored ways to design meaningful learning experiences that promote critical thinking, application of knowledge, and student agency.
The final session on “Computational Thinking” by Dr. Gurpreet Kaur highlighted the significance of logical reasoning and problem-solving in an AI-driven world. Educators engaged with concepts such as decomposition, pattern recognition, abstraction, and algorithmic thinking, discovering practical strategies to integrate these skills across disciplines.
The day concluded with a reflective feedback session, inspiring participants to transform classrooms into spaces that nurture curiosity, creativity, and future-ready competencies.
