Reimagining Leadership for a Future-Ready World
Salwan Public School, Rajendra Nagar, hosted the Leadership CPD Workshop on 30 May 2026, bringing together Principals, Vice Principals, Coordinators, and Headmistresses from across Salwan sister schools. The workshop served as a platform for educational leaders to reflect on the evolving role of leadership in a rapidly changing world.
The programme began with an inspiring address by Shri Sushil Dutt Salwan, Chairman, Salwan Education Trust, who encouraged participants to unlock their inner potential through the message, “More than you is within you.” He highlighted the importance of physical and mental well-being in effective leadership.
The first session, led by Colonel Gopal Karunakaran, explored seven global trends shaping education today, including Artificial Intelligence, Climate Change, Migration, Mental Health, and Income Inequality. Emphasising teachers as life coaches and changemakers, he encouraged leaders to prepare learners for an increasingly complex future.
Mrs. Vanita Uppal, Principal of The British School, New Delhi, facilitated the second session on authentic and compassionate leadership. Through engaging activities and discussions, she highlighted the importance of organisational culture, human connection, and openness to new perspectives, concluding with the powerful message, “No Mud, No Lotus.”
In the third session, Dr. Namita Ranganathan encouraged leaders to redefine educational success by focusing on mental well-being, inclusion, social-emotional learning, and holistic development. She stressed the need to nurture empathy, resilience, and responsible citizenship alongside academic achievement.
The post-lunch session by Ms. Sonia Wadhwa focused on the Salwan Education Trust IT Policy, emphasising responsible technology use, cybersecurity, data privacy, and ethical digital practices in schools.
The concluding session, led by Ms. Sunita Madan and Ms. Sonia Wadhwa, explored future-ready education, highlighting personalised learning, global competencies, innovation, and collaborative learning ecosystems.
The workshop concluded with renewed commitment among educational leaders to create inclusive, innovative, and future-ready learning environments rooted in strong human values.
