This year, once again, our Class 12 students passed their board examinations with flying colours. To celebrate their success and make their last day special, the students of Class 11 organized a farewell party for their seniors.
The celebration was full of laughter, music, poetry, games and wonderful memories. One of the most exciting parts of the event was the sash ceremony. Class 11 students prepared colourful sashes for their seniors, giving each of them a unique and funny title that perfectly suited their personality. The teachers were also surprised with special sashes and enjoyed reading the creative titles given to them. The Class 12 students also shared their experiences, favourite memories and thoughts about their journey at the Trust. Their words brought smiles, laughter and even a few emotional moments.
After all the fun activities, refreshments were served. The highlight of the day was the ice cream party! With the summer heat at its peak, the delicious ice cream was a welcome treat and was enjoyed by students and teachers alike.

A fun activity on ‘Making Gliders’ was conducted for students of Classes 4 and 5. During the session, children assembled their own gliders using the DIY materials provided in the STEM kits. Students worked in groups of 3 to 4. After assembling the gliders, the children tested them by flying them on their own, which created great excitement and joy among the students. Many children initially thought the gliders were airplanes because of their similar appearance, which sparked curiosity about how they actually fly. The teachers then explained the difference between an airplane and a glider, helping students understand the basic concept of flight. Students learned that unlike airplanes, gliders fly without an engine and remain in the air due to air pressure and the shape of t heir wings, which creates lift.

A teacher training session on STEM education was organized at IRMET with the support of smilefoundation. The session was led by Ms. Jyoti Singh, who introduced teachers to the effective use of reusable DIY STEM kits designed for students from Grade 4 to Grade 12. Teachers were guided on how to use these kits to explain scientific concepts in a practical and engaging manner. The session provided first-hand experience to the participants, enabling them to better understand the application of these tools in the classroom. By incorporating these kits into daily teaching practices, teachers can make abstract concepts more understandable, interactive and interesting for students.

We are happy to share a wonderful update!
A dedicated computer lab has now been set up in our Trust Hall, creating a comfortable and engaging space for our students. This initiative was made possible through the generous support of Mr. Raj Beri (UK) and his friends, with the efforts of Mr. Aneu Sood.
Earlier, computer classes were conducted in a constrained kitchen space, where students had to stand while working. The new lab now provides proper seating, tables and essential IT equipment, enabling more effective and comfortable learning.
This initiative is a step towards enhancing digital learning and creating a better environment for IRMET children.
