A Tree for the Earth, A Tribute to Motherhood
This Environment Day, our students, teachers, and staff came together under the heartfelt initiative — *”Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam.”*
Led by Ms. Surbhi and organised by the Eco Club, this Plantation Drive was more than an act of planting — it was a collective promise. Every sapling placed in the earth carries with it a message of gratitude, love, and responsibility toward the world that sustains us.
Just as a mother gives life, nurtures with patience, and never asks for anything in return, trees stand silently at the heart of our existence — offering clean air, shelter, and the quiet hope of a greener tomorrow. Today, we honoured both.
Together, we took a small but meaningful step — because protecting nature is not merely an environmental duty. It is an expression of our deepest gratitude to those who nurture us, whether it is our mothers or Mother Earth herself.
One tree. One promise. One brighter tomorrow.

"The mountains whispered stories, the valleys taught lessons, and the journey created memories beyond textbooks."
Manali–Rohtang–Patlikuhal Trip

On the evening of 1st June 2026, a vibrant group of Apex Public School students along with their teachers embarked on an unforgettable educational and recreational journey from Delhi to Manali,Himachal Pradesh. The trip was designed to blend adventure, nature immersion, and cultural exposure, offering students a refreshing break from classroom learning while fostering teamwork and camaraderie.

Upon reaching Manali the next morning, the students checked into their accommodation and freshened up before heading to the iconic Mall Road. The bustling promenade, lined with shops selling local handicrafts, woolens, and Himachali souvenirs, provided the perfect introduction to Kullu Valley's culture. Students enjoyed local snacks and took group photos against the backdrop of snow-capped ranges, and engaged in friendly bargaining with local vendors—an informal lesson in commerce and communication.

The trip's highlight was the early morning excursion to Rohtang Pass (3,978–3,980 meters / 13,058 feet above sea level). Despite the summer season, the pass remained cloaked in thick snow, leaving students in sheer delight. They experienced their first real snowfall touch, built snowmen, engaged in snowball fights, and tried thrilling activities like snow sliding and photography sessions in frosty conditions. The breath-taking views of glaciers, rugged mountains, and the river valley created moments of pure wonder. Safety briefings and acclimatization protocols ensured everyone remained comfortable at high altitude.

The next destination was Patlikuhal, a picturesque valley nestled 40 km from Manali known for its conical hills and lush greenery. Here, students especially loved to play the Seven Stones, an old traditional game their grandparents once played. In this classic game students discovered teamwork, strategy, and quick thinking. Laughter filled the air as classes mixed, breaking down social barriers through shared play. They also had a wonderful time enjoying rope activities and zip lining, showcasing their confidence, excitement, and adventurous spirit in the lap of nature. The serene environment offered a stark contrast to Rohtang's snow, teaching students about Himachal's diverse ecosystems.

The trip concluded with students returning to Delhi on 5th June, 2026, carrying souvenir memories, photographs, and a deeper appreciation for India's northern landscapes. Teachers observed improved confidence, independence, and friendship circles among students—a testament to experiential learning's power.
