Good social emotional health leads to mental well being.
Our school successfully hosted a Capacity Building Programme on “Social Emotional Learning”.
The workshop was co-facilitated by Dr. Hemlata Suri, a CBSE National Resource Person, Life Skills Master Trainer, and certified POSH & POCSO Trainer, and Ms. Rajvinder Bhinder, a CBSE ISTM certified resource person. It addressed the core SEL competencies through case studies and experiential activities, including the Feelings Wheel based on Plutchik’s Model, Mood Meter and the Iceberg Pyramid stating What’s Hidden and What’s Visible
The session also highlighted CASEL, which is widely known for developing the standard framework for SEL, which is a process that helps children and adults better understand their emotions, build empathy, and maintain positive relationships.
The aim was being focused on students' social and emotional well-being.

A fun-filled Movie Day was organised by HT Newspaper for the students of Grades VI to VIII. The event gave students an opportunity to relax, enjoy, and learn through an engaging movie experience.
The students participated enthusiastically and thoroughly enjoyed the day with their peers. Such activities promote creativity, imagination, and joyful learning beyond the classroom.

Students of Classes IX and X successfully conducted an impactful awareness activity in school on the socially relevant themes of 'Say No to To***co' and 'Anti-Bullying'. Demonstrating remarkable creativity and commitment, the students meticulously designed and prepared eye-catching headgear, thoughtfully crafted sashes, expressive T-shirts with powerful messages, compelling posters, and a vibrant mural painting that became the visual centrepiece. Their innovative artwork, evocative quotes, and original slogans reflected deep understanding, artistic flair, and a sincere dedication to spreading these vital social messages.

The workshop was co-facilitated by Dr. Priyanka Bhattacharjee, ICF PCC Executive Coach, and Ms. Aditi Roy, Principal & CBSE-COE Master Trainer. It addressed the five core SEL competencies through case studies, role-plays, and experiential activities, including the Feelings Wheel based on Plutchik’s Model and the Iceberg Pyramid – What’s Hidden, What’s Visible, alongside focused sessions on mindful listening, emotion coaching, and conflict resolution.
Teachers practiced tools like circle time, mood meters, and restorative practices to integrate SEL into daily teaching. The session concluded with certificate distribution and a shared commitment to prioritize student well-being and create compassionate classrooms.

Class 1 & 2 students joyfully celebrated No Bag Day with a variety of fun-filled and hands-on learning activities. Class 1 students enthusiastically participated in engaging activities like the Sense Booth Activity, Allie the Alligator, and exciting fun games that enhanced their sensory and interactive learning skills. Meanwhile, Class 2 students explored their creativity and teamwork through activities such as Roll, Build and Show, Lemonade Making, Clay Modelling, and many more enjoyable tasks. The day was filled with laughter, creativity, and experiential learning, making it a memorable and enriching experience for all the students.

KG students enthusiastically participated in the Body Mapping activity where they assembled different body parts to create a complete human body. Through this fun and interactive activity, children learned to identify various body parts and understand their placement. The activity enhanced their observation, motor, and cognitive skills while making learning enjoyable and engaging.

Students of Classes III to V celebrated World Technology Day through exciting and interactive activities. Class III students enjoyed game-based learning activities, while Classes IV and V participated in engaging Show and Tell presentations on the importance and impact of gadgets in daily life.
The activities enhanced students’ creativity, confidence, communication, and presentation skills, making learning both fun and meaningful.
