Congratulations to Team SheCoders from IIIT-Delhi on their remarkable achievement at WitchHunt 2026, one of the premier women-focused AI hackathons in India, organized by the HopeWorks Foundation!

Competing against 1,200+ teams from across the country, Diya Narula (B.Tech. CSD), Sanskriti Gupta (B.Tech. CSSS), Sneha Agarwal (B.Tech. CSD), and Sakshi K. (M.Tech. CSE) secured the First Prize in the Smart Cities category, winning a cash prize of ₹2.5 lakh for their innovative project, Nadi-Nagar.

Their project focuses on transforming urban infrastructure management from reactive to predictive. They built an AI-powered system that uses edge sensors on municipal buses paired with crowdsourced citizen scans to predict road damage and drainage blockages before they escalate into major issues.

We are proud of our students for demonstrating innovation, technical excellence, and social impact through technology.

The Office of Student Affairs at IIIT-Delhi celebrated the with an inspiring yoga session at the Sports Complex. The program began with a graceful Bharatanatyam performance, followed by a synchronized yoga session led by yoga instructor Mr. Ajay Saxena, where participants practiced yoga asanas, breathing exercises, meditation, and mindfulness techniques.

Observed under the theme "Yoga for Healthy Ageing" and the institute's slogan "Yoga for Harmony and Peace," the event brought together around 50 students, faculty, and staff members to promote holistic wellness, inner peace, and a balanced lifestyle. The celebration concluded with a captivating performance by yoga students, making the occasion both meaningful and memorable.

We are proud to announce that IIIT-Delhi's team "Weak Testcase" has qualified for the prestigious ICPC World Finals 2026, to be held in Dubai in November.

The team comprises:
➡️Abhishek – B.Tech CSE, Batch of 2027
➡️Jatin Aggarwal – B.Tech CSAI, Batch of 2027
➡️Piyush Keshan – B.Tech CSAI, Batch of 2027

This achievement marks a significant milestone for the institute, as IIIT-Delhi will be represented at the ICPC World Finals for the fourth time, reaffirming its position among the leading institutions in competitive programming.

The International Collegiate Programming Contest (ICPC) is widely regarded as the Olympics of Coding, bringing together the world's most talented student programmers from over 3,000 universities across 111 countries to solve challenging algorithmic problems under intense time constraints.

To reach the World Finals, Team Weak Testcase successfully navigated a highly competitive multi-stage qualification process:

1. Online Preliminary Round – Competing against more than 3,000 teams, the team secured a place among the top performers to advance further.

2. Onsite Regional Championships – The team excelled in a rigorous five-hour ICPC-style contest, earning qualification to the next stage.

3. Asia West Continental Championship – Facing some of the strongest teams from across Western Asia, the team delivered an exceptional performance to secure one of the spots at the World Finals.

The 2026 edition holds special significance as Dubai hosts the 50th Golden Anniversary ICPC World Finals, welcoming more than 130 elite teams from across the globe.

Congratulations to Team Weak Testcase on this remarkable accomplishment. We wish them the very best as they prepare to represent IIIT-Delhi and India on the world stage!

Presenting another project funded by Anusandhan National Research Foundation (ANRF) under the Prime Minister Early Career Research Grant (PM-ECRG).

This project, titled “Multi-Robot Planning and Coordination under Uncertain Conditions and Resource Constraints”, led by Dr. Tanmoy Kundu (Faculty, IIIT-Delhi), aims to develop AI-driven methods for coordinating multiple UAVs in uncertain and resource-constrained environments. It focuses on dynamic drone repositioning for continuous surveillance, efficient recharge planning using UGVs, and secure coordination under limited communication.

The project will contribute to robust and scalable autonomous defense systems by delivering adaptive algorithms for uninterrupted surveillance, optimized UAV–UGV scheduling to improve energy efficiency, and communication-efficient strategies for secure multi-drone coordination.
