Celebrating Grit and Excellence: Shalini Jha Memorial Awards 2026

On 13 May 2026, the Primary Wing of Delhi Public School, Mathura Road, under the leadership of Principal Dr. Ram Singh, felicitated seventeen students of Classes IV and V (Batch 2025–26) at the Shalini Jha Memorial Awards ceremony.

With one student selected from each section, the awards celebrated determination, resilience, and academic excellence among young achievers who continue to shine despite challenging circumstances.

The ceremony reflected the school’s commitment to nurturing confidence, courage, and excellence in every child.

From Classroom to Cockpit

To prepare our Pre-Primary kids for summer vacation flights, our school created a mini airport for “My First Flight” activity!

With boarding passes in hand, our tiny travelers checked bags at the baggage counter, cleared security check, and boarded our classroom aircraft. They found their seats, buckled up, and even enjoyed a “mid-air feast”!

The role-play made airport steps fun and fear-free. From check-in to landing, our little flyers did it all with big smiles.

As they’re runway-ready for real family trips this summer!

On 13 May 2026, the Primary Wing of Delhi Public School Mathura Road proudly organised the second round of the Felicitation Ceremony to honour its Olympiad achievers for their exceptional academic accomplishments.

The ceremony was graced by the esteemed Principal, Dr. Ram Singh, who congratulated the students and applauded their dedication, perseverance, and pursuit of excellence. In his address, he encouraged young learners to dream big, work consistently, and make the best use of the school’s progressive learning environment, including AI Labs and innovative learning resources.
He also spoke to the children about the value of gratitude, the importance of reading regularly, and developing the habit of finishing books to build knowledge and character.
The event filled the atmosphere with pride and inspiration as students were recognised for their remarkable achievements and hard work.

Farmyard Fun: Learning Takes Root

Preschool 1 and 2 students celebrated “A Day at the School Farm” with joy and curiosity. They explored farm animals — learning their sounds, homes, and importance — amid vibrant displays that made learning interactive. Creative crafts and farm-themed worksheets let the little learners connect play with knowledge in a fun, hands-on way.

A proud moment for Delhi Public School, Mathura Road, as the Junior Wing Annual Award Ceremony has been featured in Hindustan Times on 13 May 2026.

The ceremony celebrated the hard work, dedication, and academic excellence of our young achievers from Classes IV and V.

This special recognition reflects the school’s continued commitment to nurturing confident, focused, and future-ready learners.

Interhouse Newspaper Reading Competition – Class V

Delhi Public School, Mathura Road, hosted an Interhouse Newspaper Reading Competition for Class V on April 12, 2026. The event was organized to enhance students’ reading skills and nurture a lifelong love for literature.

Participants from all six houses — Ravi, Chenab, Ganga, Jhelum, Yamuna, and Sutlej — displayed remarkable enthusiasm and confidence. Each student captivated the audience with articulate delivery and well-chosen news pieces that sparked lively engagement among peers.

Results:
- First Position: Yamuna House
- Second Position: Jhelum House
- Third Position: Ravi House

Vice Principal Ms. Soni Saxena commended all participants for their effort and eloquence. She emphasized the vital role of reading in building knowledge, sharpening communication skills, and broadening young minds.

The competition successfully inspired the young learners, fostering camaraderie, healthy competition, and a renewed enthusiasm for reading.
