🍳 Kitchen Adventures — Children follow recipes, measure ingredients and work together to create something delicious. Along the way, they practise turn-taking, following instructions and the kind of back-and-forth communication that happens naturally in a shared activity.

🍽️ Restaurant Expeditions — From reading a menu to placing an order, children navigate real dining experiences with guided support — building social confidence, understanding expectations and learning how to communicate in public settings.

🛒 Market Missions — On supported shopping trips, children create lists, find items, handle money and interact with store staff — developing practical independence in a structured, real-world environment.

📚 Story-to-Life Connections — Books and stories are brought into real experiences, helping children build comprehension in a way that is meaningful and memorable, rather than abstract.

🤝 Sensory-Friendly Socials — In a calm, regulated environment, children practise conversation starters, active listening and friendship-building — the social building blocks that help them connect with peers with greater ease and confidence.

The Neuromove Camp brings occupational therapy to life through movement, play and creative activities. Here's how it helps:

🏃 Body Awareness & Coordination — Obstacle courses, balance activities and movement challenges help children understand where their body is in space, reducing clumsiness and building physical confidence in everyday situations.

✂️ Fine Motor Strength — Through fun, hands-on stations, children strengthen the small muscles in their fingers and hands — building the skills needed for everyday tasks like buttoning clothes, using scissors and handling everyday objects independently.

🖊️ Handwriting & Hand Control — Art-based projects and creative activities develop the grip strength, pencil pressure and hand control that form the foundation for legible, comfortable writing.

🌬️ Emotional Regulation & Sensory Processing — Carefully designed sensory exploration and calming activities help children identify how they feel in their body and develop practical strategies to self-regulate when emotions or sensory input feel overwhelming.

This summer, give your child two weeks of joyful learning. 🌿

The Thrive Summer Camp is designed for children aged 5–12 who are working on reading, writing and communication — and who learn best with the right kind of support and structure.

Over two engaging weeks, children will:

📖 Decode & Read with Ease — Through systematic phonics, phonemic awareness and multisensory activities, children build a strong, confident foundation in reading that goes beyond just recognising words on a page.

💬 Build Words & Build Worlds — Engaging with decodable texts and rich read-alouds, children expand their vocabulary and develop visualisation and comprehension strategies that help them truly understand what they read.

✏️ Put Thoughts on Paper — From early emergent writing to guided practice, children learn to express their ideas in written form — at their own pace and with growing confidence.

🎭 Speak Up & Make Friends — Through storytelling, reader's theatre and interactive group engagements, children strengthen their oral language, find their voice and build meaningful friendships along the way.

A day of listening, reflecting, and learning from someone whose work has deeply influenced how we think about children and teaching.

Sally Haughey's session with our team and educators was rich with insight - drawn from years of being with children, observing them closely, and trusting their capabilities. There was so much in what she shared that resonated with our own practice, while also gently pushing us to look again, think deeper, and stay present.

From the conversation with our team to walking through our playscape in Vasant Vihar, this visit continues to mean a great deal to us. To learn directly from someone who has long inspired our work is both grounding and energising.

In moments like these, children often move through parallel play into associative play - exploring the same material together, observing one another, exchanging ideas without needing a fixed outcome.

This kind of play supports far more than creativity. It builds social awareness, imitation, confidence, sensory exploration, and the quiet beginning of collaboration.

Sometimes, learning starts simply with one child noticing what another is doing and deciding to join in.

The Children's Quest is a micro school for children aged 4.5–10, rooted in a simple belief: the child is always at the centre. Not the syllabus. Not the exam. The child.

We learn through Quests: multi-week investigations where science, maths, language, music, and making come together into one real inquiry. Every Guide works with just 4 children. No grades, no exams, only portfolios and exhibitions where children show their thinking to a real audience.

Day 1 with Sally Haughey at Learning Matters was one of those moments for us.

From joining our Parent Orientation with 60+ parents, to spending time with our team of educators at Green Park, to walking through our curated playscapes - her presence made the day feel deeply affirming. We have long been inspired by Sally’s work and her deep commitment to child-led learning, so to host her here, in our spaces, with our community, means a great deal to us.

It was a day of exchange, reflection, and resonance, and a reminder of how powerful it is when people who care deeply about children and childhood come together.
