The 2nd day of Mother’s Day Celebration was organized with great enthusiasm and joy at DAV Centenary Public School, Baniahir. The program was inaugurated by the Senior Teacher cm Academic Co-ordinator, Mr. Subhankar Sarkar.

The celebration witnessed active participation from several mothers of students from the Junior Wing. The event was specially designed to strengthen the bond between mothers and their children through fun-filled activities and engaging games.

Various exciting games and competitions were organized for both mothers and students. The participants enjoyed the activities wholeheartedly, creating a cheerful and memorable atmosphere in the school campus.

The program successfully highlighted the importance of mothers in the lives of children and provided an opportunity for families to spend quality time together. The event concluded on a happy note with appreciation for all participating mothers and students.

The program was inaugurated by the Honorable Principal, Dr. Abhilasha Kumari, who addressed the gathering with inspiring words about the importance of mothers in shaping the future of children and society. She also appreciated the efforts made by the school in organizing such a meaningful event.
The entire program was beautifully designed and coordinated by our Pre-Primary Coordinator, Mrs. Pinky Banerjee. Her planning and dedication made the celebration memorable and enjoyable for all participants.
The mothers of students from Pre-Nursery to Class II actively participated in the celebration. Several fun-filled games and activities were organized especially for mothers, which created a cheerful and lively atmosphere. The participants enjoyed the games wholeheartedly, making the event full of excitement and happiness.
The program concluded with a heartfelt Vote of Thanks delivered by the Senior Teacher and Academic In-Charge, Mr. S. Sarkar. He expressed gratitude to the Principal, teachers, mothers, and all staff members for their valuable contribution in making the event successful.
The Mother’s Day celebration at DAV Baniahir was truly a grand success and left beautiful memories in the hearts of all present.

IIT (ISM) DHANBAD - A SCIENTIFIC EXPLORATION TOUR

Objective of the Visit
The educational trip was organized to provide students with practical exposure to advanced scientific and engineering facilities, enhance their understanding of applied sciences, and inspire them towards research and innovation.

Places and Facilities Visited
- Artificial Longwall Mines
Students observed the working model of longwall mining, gaining insights into mechanized coal extraction methods.
- Artificial Board and Pillar Mines
The visit to the board and pillar mining setup helped students understand traditional underground mining techniques and their safety aspects.
- Geological Museum
The museum showcased a wide variety of rocks, minerals, and fossils. Students learned about the geological diversity of India and the importance of earth sciences.
- Robotics Workshop
Students witnessed demonstrations of robotic systems and their applications in mining and engineering. This session sparked curiosity about automation and artificial intelligence.
- Chemical Engineering Laboratories
The labs provided exposure to chemical processes, equipment, and safety protocols, highlighting the role of chemical engineering in industrial applications.
- Physics Laboratory
Students explored experimental setups that deepened their understanding of fundamental physics concepts.
- Geophysics Laboratory
The lab visit introduced students to geophysical instruments and techniques used in exploration and resource assessment.
- Mining Workshop
Students had the unique opportunity to operate some mining machines under supervision, which gave them hands-on experience of real-world engineering practices.

Our school DAV CENTENARY PUBLIC SCHOOL, BANIAHIR (LODNA),DHANBAD proudly participated in the Dhanbad District Table Tennis Championship, held on 30th nov,2025 with great enthusiasm and competitive spirit. The team was guided and mentored by Mr. Asim Priyadarshi, a respected State-level Coach Cum CBSE Observer, whose expertise and encouragement played a vital role in motivating the students.
Among the participants, Samarth Goutam, one of our promising young talents, delivered an outstanding performance. His dedication, skill, and sportsmanship earned him the Bronze Medal in the championship. With this achievement, Samarth has also been selected for the Under-15 District Table Tennis Team, marking a proud moment for both him and our institution.
This success not only highlights the hard work of our students but also reflects the consistent guidance provided by our coach. The school community congratulates Samarth on his remarkable achievement and wishes him continued success in future tournaments.

We are proud to share that two of our students SHRADHA SINHA AND DEBANSH PANINI participated in the Sahodaya School Complex Quiz Competition held on 29th November 2025. Competing against 35 schools, they delivered an outstanding performance and brought great pride to our institution.
Their success reflects not only their hard work and dedication but also the guidance of their mentors Mr. Sandeep Kumar Chatterjee and the support of our school community.
