DAV Model School, Durgapur enthusiastically celebrated National Reading Day on 19th June 2026 with a series of engaging activities that fostered a love for reading and sharing among young learners.

As part of the celebration, a Book Donation Drive was organized on 19th and 20th June 2026 for the students of Grades IV & V. The initiative inspired students to embrace the values of Read • Share • Reuse by donating storybooks and spreading the joy of reading within the school community. Their wholehearted participation reflected compassion, responsibility, and a genuine appreciation for books.

The celebration began with a Book Reading Competition conducted in the Junior Library for the students of Grade IV. The participants took a Reading Pledge, committing themselves to make reading a regular part of their daily lives. Students showcased their reading skills with confidence, accuracy, and fluency, and were assessed on parameters such as pronunciation, intonation, voice modulation, and expression. Their enthusiasm and eagerness made the event both meaningful and inspiring.

Summer camp 2026-Where Learning Meets Fun!

Red Day was full of smiles,sparkle, and happy little stars -Celebrating the colour of love,energy and happiness, the tiny stars of Grade Nursery participated in Red Day activities with with loads of excitement and enthusiasm. Attired beautifully in shades of Red,with colourful headgears,the kids enjoyed fun activities,games and learning experiences that helped them recognize the colour Red in a joyful way.
They also had red coloured food items in their lunch boxes which they all relished . The day ended with laughter and smiling faces as they were super happy to get their interesting takeaways!!
