🧘‍♂️ International Day of Yoga 2026 🧘‍♀️

Dr. B. C. Roy Polytechnic, Durgapur, observed International Day of Yoga 2026 on 21st June 2026 under the theme “Yoga for Healthy Ageing.” The programme was held at the Recreation Point, Dr. B. C. Roy Engineering College, Durgapur, at 6:30 A.M., with enthusiastic participation from students, faculty members, and staff.

The yoga session was conducted under the expert guidance of Mr. Tarun Mukherjee, who led participants through various yoga postures, breathing exercises, and meditation techniques aimed at promoting physical fitness, mental well-being, and inner harmony.

Participants actively practiced different asanas and pranayama, experiencing the benefits of yoga for both mind and body. The event highlighted the importance of incorporating yoga into daily life for a healthier, more balanced, and mindful lifestyle. Participants were made aware of the profound journey of yoga through the stages of human life—from Garbhasana, symbolizing the beginning of life in the womb, to Shavasana, representing ultimate relaxation and the final state of rest—illustrating yoga's timeless relevance from birth to the end of life.
