Activities at the Pattanam Archaeological Site witnessed enthusiastic participation from the young generation.
Students from Kesari Vayanashala Pooyyappalli, a locality closely connected to the Pattanam region, visited the site and actively engaged in heritage learning by observing museum-related activities. Their participation reflects the growing involvement of nearby communities in understanding and preserving local history.
The children interacted with internship participants, engaged in discussions on archaeology, and explored how archaeological materials are studied, documented, and preserved. Such interactions play an important role in inspiring the next generation to connect with cultural heritage and archaeological research.
These moments reflect meaningful exchanges between students, interns, and researchers, highlighting archaeological spaces as living centres of learning, interaction, and public engagement.

The internship programme under the FYUGP initiative of UGC continues at the Kerala Council for Historical Research with active student participation and academic engagement.
We are pleased to share that the next batch of interns from Alphonsa College, Pala and Little Flower College, Guruvayur has successfully completed their internship at the KCHR Pattanam Campus.
As part of the Museum Ex*****on Initiative, the interns engaged in archaeological research activities, material studies, heritage documentation, and exhibition-related learning experiences. Working alongside the KCHR team, the students gained hands-on exposure to museum development processes and interdisciplinary research practices, making the internship a meaningful academic journey.

The internship programme under the FYUGP initiative of UGC began at KCHR, where students are actively engaging in various academic and research activities of the institution.
As part of the programme, interns have joined the Pattanam Campus, participating in the Pattanam Archaeological Research Project and gaining exposure to archaeological field practices, material studies, and heritage documentation, supported by a dedicated and supportive team.
