Inspired is back — and this year, we're exploring the stories hidden in the food we eat.

Every dish has travelled through time. Recipes pass from one generation to the next, carrying memories, traditions, migrations, innovations, and the wisdom of communities. The ingredients we use tell stories about local landscapes, farming practices, climate, and the relationship between people and nature.

In celebration of World Environment Day and Sustainable Gastronomy Day, Burlington English presents BE Inspired 2026: The Story on My Plate.

Students are invited to choose their favourite dish and uncover the fascinating story behind it. Where did it come from? How did it evolve? What cultures shaped it? How does it reflect the environment from which it emerged?

Through an original story, learners will discover that food is much more than nourishment — it is history, identity, culture, and a reminder of our responsibility to protect the natural world that sustains us.

We were honoured to attend the launch of the Bharat Skill Exchange, a start-up launched by Dr. Kiran Bedi on her 77th birthday. We are absolutely thrilled to be a proud training partner in this initiative. Burlington English is committed to supporting the development of future-ready skills that empower individuals to succeed in an increasingly interconnected world.

The event featured inspiring addresses by Dr. Kiran Bedi, whose insights on leadership, discipline, and nation-building resonated deeply with the audience, and Shri Jayant Chaudhary, Honourable Minister of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, who shared a compelling vision for strengthening India's workforce.

The launch of the Bharat Skills Exchange marks an important step towards fostering collaboration between education, industry, and skill development stakeholders. We are excited to be part of this journey and look forward to contributing to a future where quality skills education is accessible, relevant, and impactful.
