The Department of History, University of Delhi, hosted Mr. Alaa Didi under the ICCR Academic Visitor Programme for an interactive session on India–Maldives Relations.
An interactive session was held in the presence of Prof. Anirudh Deshpande (HOD), Prof. Vikas Gupta, Dr. P. K. Yasser Arafath,and members of the department, fostering meaningful academic exchange.

The Department of History, University of Delhi, organized an enriching field visit for Semester IV students to Rakhigarhi— one of the largest known site of the Indus Valley Civilization, located in Hisar district of Haryana.
The trip was conducted under the supervision of Dr. Sajjan Kumar, under whose guidance students witnessed ongoing excavations, observed archaeological processes firsthand, and examined original Harappan antiquities.Rakhigarhi provides valuable insights into harappan urban planning, including drainage systems and stratigraphic sequences across multiple mounds.
The visit was further enriched by insightful interactions with archaeologists and dignitaries from the Archaeological Survey of India, who guided students through the site and shared their expertise on its historical significance, offering a deeper understanding of ongoing excavations and archaeological methods.
