Lemonade Activity at S D Adarsh Vidyalaya Kindergarten
A fun-filled "Lemonade Activity" was conducted for our little learners of Kindergarten at S D Adarsh Vidyalaya. The objective of the activity was to introduce children to the concept of making a healthy summer drink while developing their fine motor skills and sensory awareness.
The tiny tots were excited to squeeze lemons, add sugar and salt, pour water, and stir to make refreshing lemonade. Teachers explained the importance of staying hydrated in summer and the health benefits of lemon.
Children enjoyed the hands-on experience and proudly shared their self-made lemonade with friends. The activity helped enhance their vocabulary with words like "squeeze", "stir", "sweet", "sour", and "pour".
It was a joyful learning experience filled with laughter, teamwork, and yummy sips. The smiles on their faces showed that learning can be truly refreshing!

The vibrant campus of Sanatan Dharam Adarsh Vidyalaya buzzed with creative energy on 13.05.2026 as it hosted a spectacular Inter-House Competition, showcasing the diverse talents of students from Classes 1 to 5 with continuous support of Coordinator Ms. Nidhi Bhardwaj. The event was a harmonious blend of humor and silent storytelling, organized under the visionary guidance of our esteemed President, Smt. Asha Sharma Mam. The competition was divided into two distinct categories:
1. Advertisement Enactment (Classes 1–3): Our youngest stars took to the stage to "sell" products with wit and charm. From creative taglines to catchy jingles, the little ones displayed remarkable confidence and acting prowess.
2. Mime (Classes 4–5): Moving from words to gestures, the senior primary students presented thought-provoking Mime acts. Without speaking a single word, they successfully conveyed powerful social messages through precise body language and expressions.
We were honored to have Principal Arpna Joshi mam and Headmistress Pinky Shekhawat mam as the distinguished judges for the day. They evaluated the participants based on their creativity, stage presence, expression, and overall impact.

A Symphony of Love: S.D. Adarsh Vidyalaya Celebrates the Eternal Spirit of Motherhood
The campus of S.D. Adarsh Vidyalaya was bathed in hues of gratitude and joy as the school community gathered to celebrate Mother’s Day, a tribute to the silent architects of our lives. The event was a magnificent blend of cultural brilliance, spirited competition, and heart-stirring emotions, reflecting the school’s commitment to nurturing strong family bonds.
The morning commenced with the arrival of our esteemed guests of honor, whose presence added grace to the occasion. The school was privileged to welcome:

The dignitaries were received with traditional warmth and floral bouquets by the leadership team: Ms. Arpna Joshi (Principal), Ms. Pinky Shekhawat (Headmistress), and Ms. Nidhi Bhardwaj (Coordinator). In her opening welcome address, Principal Ms. Arpna Joshi spoke eloquently about how a mother’s influence is the “first classroom” a child ever experiences.
The students’ theatrical drama poignantly depicted the daily sacrifices mothers make, while the rhythmic dance sequences celebrated the vibrancy and strength of women.
The celebration transitioned from the stage to the playground of joy, where mothers participated in a series of engaging and light-hearted competitions. The school corridors echoed with laughter during:
Tune & Treasure: A thrilling hunt for hidden gems.
Musical Cups: A fast-paced test of agility and focus.
Bindi Queen: A showcase of grace, where mothers competed for the most creative and traditional adornment.
The pinnacle of the day was the address by the Chief Guest, Smt. Asha Sharma. Her words resonated deeply as she spoke about the spiritual and social significance of a mother’s role. She reminded the students that while the world changes, a mother’s love remains the only “constant north star.” Her beautiful tribute left many in the audience inspired and deeply moved.
As the curtains fell on the celebration, Ms. Nidhi Bhardwaj, Coordinator, delivered the Vote of Thanks. She expressed her heartfelt gratitude to the management for their unwavering support and to the mothers for their enthusiastic participation, which transformed the event into a grand success.

Prioritizing Minds🧠, Nurturing Hearts🫀
Santan Dharam Adarsh Vidyalaya, Society successfully organized a workshop on _“Promoting Mental Health and Wellness in Schools”_ on 2nd May 2026.
The session aimed to empower our teachers with practical tools to better understand and support the emotional well-being of every child and themselves
We were honored by the presence of Smt. Asha Sharma, President, Sanatan Dharam Adarsh Vidyalaya Society; Dr. Sonu Sharma, Manager; and Dr. Malvika, Member of the Society. Their encouragement made the event truly special.
Heartfelt thanks to our expert resource persons, Ms. Jasmine Arora, Licensed Clinical Psychologist, and Dr. Namrata Mahajan, Counselling Psychologist & Special Educator. They guided our teachers on identifying early signs of concerns, understanding _when and how_ to intervene, and building empathy-driven communication with parents.
The workshop covered key areas such as stress and anxiety, ADHD, autism, and specific learning disabilities including dyslexia, dyscalculia, and dysgraphia.
The interactive Q&A session made it a truly enriching experience for all.

🎤 Inter-House Doha Gayan Competition🎶
SD Adarsh School, Gurugram, recently hosted a soulful and enriching Inter-House Doha Gayan Competition for students of Classes VI to VIII. The event beautifully celebrated the timeless wisdom of Sant Rahim and Kabir Das.
The competition featured two categories—Dohas of Rahim and Dohas of Kabir. Students participated in teams of two, presenting melodious renditions of dohas along with thoughtful explanations of their deeper meanings and teachings. Their performances reflected not only musical talent but also a strong understanding of moral values embedded in these classic verses.
All four houses—Aravali, Kumaon, Nilgiri, and Shivalik—participated with great enthusiasm, making the event vibrant and intellectually engaging.

Earth Day Celebrations at SDAV
Sanatan Dharam Adarsh Vidyalaya vibrantly celebrated Earth Day on 22nd April, 2026, centering on the powerful theme, "Our Planet, Our Power." The event was graced by the esteemed Chief Guest, Smt. Asha Sharma ma'am and Guest of Honour Dr. Sonu Sharma Ma’am.
The day began with a Sapling Plantation Drive, where tiny hands planted saplings and promised to nurture them for a greener future. The spirit of learning continued with a Magical Colour Experiment, where younger students were amazed to see blue and yellow mix to create green—the color of our Earth. An engaging Earth Story Session followed, helping the children understand the deep importance of protecting our natural world.
The senior students showcased insightful presentations on carbon footprints and screened an impactful awareness video. Creativity flourished through various activities, including Poster Making, Slogan Writing, and a meticulous Water Audit exercise. A major highlight was the Inter-School "Best Out of Waste" Competition, alongside a Special Act on Saving Earth, where children beautifully dramatized the importance of a clean planet.
During an interactive session, Dr. Sonu Sharma engaged students with thought-provoking questions, while President Smt. Asha Sharma offered valuable advice on sustainable living. A solemn Earth Pledge was taken by all, vowing to save water, plant trees, and say no to plastic. The event concluded with the felicitation of winners and a formal Vote of Thanks delivered by the School Principal, leaving the students inspired and empowered.

The students of Class 4 at S.D. Adarsh Vidyalaya organized a vibrant and spiritually uplifting Special Assembly to celebrate the auspicious occasion of Baisakhi. The event was conducted under the esteemed guidance and visionary leadership of Smt. Asha Sharma Ma'am, President, Sanatan Dharam Adarsh Vidyalaya Society, whose constant encouragement continues to foster a deep respect for Indian culture and traditions among the students.
The program began with a warm welcome of respected Principal Ms Arpna Joshi ma'am, Headmistress Ms Pinky Shekhawat and Coordinator Ms Nidhi Bhardwaj ma'am who graced the occasion with their presence.
The assembly began on a solemn note with a soulful prayer, invoking blessings for a prosperous harvest season and peace for all.
Students delivered informative speech highlighting the dual importance of the day—marking the beginning of the solar New Year and the foundation of the 'Khalsa Panth' by Guru Gobind Singh Ji in 1699 was depicted by a skit.
The school premises resonated with energy as students, dressed in colorful traditional Punjabi attire, performed spirited Bhangra and Gidda. Their synchronized movements captured the joy and enthusiasm that defines this harvest festival.
Student recited verses celebrating the hard work of farmers and the golden fields of Punjab, while folk songs added a melodic charm to the festivities.
