Today, we celebrated International Nurses Day 2026 at RINPS! Our Principal opened the ceremony with an inspiring address, highlighting the vital need for nursing empowerment and honoring the selfless contributions nurses make to society every single day.
To put our mission into action, we extended our care beyond the classroom by organizing a Health Camp and Cloth Donation Drive at the Ashadeep Day Rehabilitation Center in Rehabari, Guwahati.
We don’t just learn; we serve. To the healers, the caregivers, and the future of healthcare—we see you and we thank you.

RINPS has upgraded to a fully operational Simulation Lab with a new advanced mannequin equipped with real-time feedback.
Today, our Principal and faculty members underwent training on its use—marking an important step towards enhancing practical learning and clinical excellence.
Students can look forward to a more engaging, hands-on learning experience ahead.

Blood Donation Awareness Programme
A Blood Donation Awareness Programme was successfully conducted on 23rd & 24th April 2026 at Sonapur College, Kamrup (Assam) by GNM 3rd Year students, along with faculty and staff, as part of their academic and community outreach activity.
The programme aimed to educate students on the importance of voluntary blood donation, covering key topics such as benefits, eligibility criteria, donation process, myths & misconceptions, and post-donation care.
Organized by 10 dedicated GNM students, the sessions witnessed active participation from around 220 attendees over two days. Interactive discussions and Q&A sessions helped clear doubts and encouraged student engagement.
The initiative successfully enhanced awareness and inspired a positive attitude toward blood donation among youth.

Awareness Programme on Prevention of Anemia
An awareness session on “Prevention of Anemia” was successfully conducted at Pragjyotish Adarsha Vidyalaya, Satgaon, Guwahati on 24th April 2026 by GNM 3rd Year (Group-V) students as part of their research project.
The programme focused on educating adolescent girls about the causes, symptoms, and prevention of anemia, emphasizing the importance of proper nutrition, hygiene, and healthy lifestyle practices. Interactive teaching methods, including charts and discussions, helped students better understand the topic.
The session highlighted the need for iron-rich diets, regular health check-ups, and the use of IFA supplements. Students actively participated, showing great interest and awareness.
The programme concluded with the message: “Prevent Anemia – Eat Healthy, Stay Strong.”

On the occasion of World Health Day 2026, Rahman Institute of Nursing and Paramedical Sciences (RINPS), a unit of Rahman Hospitals Pvt. Ltd., successfully conducted a School Health Programme at Down Town Public School, Majkuchi.
A total of 55 beneficiaries, including children and parents, participated in the camp.
The services provided included:
• Dental Examination to detect early signs of cavities and gum issues
• General Medical Consultation for common health concerns
• Growth Monitoring (height and weight assessment) for children
• Health Education Sessions focusing on a balanced diet and personal hygiene
The programme aimed at promoting preventive healthcare and spreading awareness among young students and their families. By combining clinical screening with health education, the initiative helped in early identification of health concerns while empowering participants with knowledge for a healthier lifestyle.

Birth Centenary Celebration of Dr. Bhupen Hazarika at Rahman Institute of Nursing and Paramedical Sciences
The Birth Centenary of Sudhakantha Dr. Bhupen Hazarika was observed with reverence and enthusiasm at Rahman Institute of Nursing and Paramedical Sciences (RINPS) on 8th September 2025.
The programme began with a lamp-lighting ceremony and floral tributes offered by the faculty, students, and staff in honor of the legendary icon.
Principal Prof. Mayengbam Benita, in her address, highlighted the monumental contributions of Dr. Bhupen Hazarika in the fields of music, art, cinema, along with his remarkable achievements and accolades that brought glory to Assam and India.
Ms. Rashmi Sonowal, Tutor at RINPS, presented an inspiring account of the life and journey of Dr. Hazarika.
The celebration was further enriched by:
Melodious songs written by Dr. Hazarika, performed by students
Poetry recitations of his works, art displays and portraits created by students as a heartfelt tribute
Adding to the significance of the day, faculty, students, and staff also witnessed the live telecast of the Birth Anniversary Celebration held at Dr. Bhupen Hazarika Samadhi Kshetra, Jalukbari, Guwahati.
The event at RINPS was a fitting tribute to the legendary bard of the Brahmaputra, whose creations continue to inspire generations.
