Intelligence is no longer confined to software. It is increasingly embedded in the machines that move, adapt, and respond.
The Mechatronics and Autonomous Systems Lab provides a platform for exploring this convergence through robotics, automation, embedded systems, sensing technologies, and AI-driven engineering. With a focus on experimentation and innovation, the lab supports research and learning that contribute to the next generation of autonomous technologies.

“The industry is moving away from computers that merely compute. It is building systems that perceive, decide, and act, all within constraints that appear impossibly tight.” - Dr Aditya Abburi, Associate Professor, École Centrale School of Engineering.
In his article, The Invisible Computers Powering Everyday Life, published in The Hindu's Excellence in Education special, Dr Aditya Abburi explores the embedded systems quietly powering the technology we rely on every day, and the engineering that makes complex computing feel effortless.

Markets rarely move in straight lines. Understanding why they move is where the Finance Research Lab at Mahindra University comes in.
Built with Bloomberg Terminal, NSE Simulation Software, and custom trading environments, the lab allows students and researchers to work with live market data, portfolio strategies, and financial analytics in real time.
From equities and derivatives to forex, commodities, and fixed income, learners engage with market behaviour through simulations that recreate volatility, risk, arbitrage, and pricing dynamics in controlled environments.
A space where financial theory is tested against market reality.

In a panel discussion with Zee Business, Anadi Saran Pande brings a grounded lens to how MSMEs can navigate complexity while building for scale.
He highlights how professionalisation begins with recognising competence within teams and enabling meaningful delegation. It is not limited to accountability structures, but extends to giving people the authority to take decisions, building trust that strengthens organisations from within.
He also reflects on something often overlooked in high-pressure entrepreneurial journeys, the importance of me-time. In environments where MSME leaders are constantly balancing operations, financial pressures, and growth demands, he emphasises that stepping back to protect personal well-being is not optional but essential. Clear thinking, better decisions, and sustained leadership emerge when individuals allow space to pause, reflect, and reset.
By combining structure in leadership with care for personal well-being, he underscores a more balanced approach to entrepreneurship, where growth is supported by both systems and self-awareness.
