👉 Testing Procedure -:
✅ Clean and moisten the cone and base plate.
✅ Place the cone firmly on the base plate and hold it in position (footrests or handles).
👉 Filling the Cone -:
✅ Fill the cone with fresh concrete in three equal layers:
• First layer: fill about 1/3 height → tamp 25 strokes
• Second layer: fill to 2/3 height → tamp 25 strokes
• Third layer: fill to the top → tamp 25 strokes
👉 Leveling
✅ Strike off excess concrete using the tamping rod to level the top.
👉 Lifting the Cone
✅ Carefully lift the cone vertically upward in 5±2 seconds without disturbing the concrete.
👉 Measuring Slump
✅ Measure the difference in height between:
• Original height of the cone
• Highest point of the slumped concrete
