🏗️ Slump Test

Concrete Technology में Slump Test सबसे अधिक उपयोग किया जाने वाला test है, जिसका उद्देश्य fresh concrete की workability और consistency को मापना होता है।

📌 Workability क्या है?
Concrete को mix, transport, place और compact करने की आसानी को workability कहते हैं।

✅ Slump Test Principle:
Slump Cone को fresh concrete से भरकर ऊपर उठाया जाता है। Concrete जितना नीचे बैठता है, उसे Slump Value कहते हैं।

📏 Slump Cone Dimensions:
• Height = 300 mm
• Top Diameter = 100 mm
• Bottom Diameter = 200 mm

📊 Types of Slump:

🔹 True Slump
समान रूप से नीचे बैठता है।
✔️ Good quality concrete

🔹 Shear Slump
एक तरफ खिसक जाता है।
✔️ Poor cohesion का संकेत

🔹 Collapse Slump
पूरी तरह फैल जाता है।
✔️ Excess water content का संकेत

🏗️ Compaction Factor Test क्या है?

Concrete Technology में Compaction Factor Test का उपयोग Low to Medium Workability Concrete की workability मापने के लिए किया जाता है।

📌 यह Test क्यों किया जाता है?
जब concrete इतना stiff हो कि Slump Test सटीक परिणाम न दे, तब Compaction Factor Test का उपयोग किया जाता है।

✅ Principle:
इस test में partially compacted concrete और fully compacted concrete के weight की तुलना की जाती है।

📐 Formula:

Compaction Factor = Weight of Partially Compacted Concrete ÷ Weight of Fully Compacted Concrete

📊 Typical Values:
• 0.75 – 0.80 → Very Low Workability
• 0.80 – 0.85 → Low Workability
• 0.85 – 0.92 → Medium Workability
• 0.92 – 0.95 → High Workability

Vee Bee consistency test of concrete workability

Vee-Bee Test क्या है?

Concrete Technology में Vee-Bee Test का उपयोग बहुत कम workability (Very Low Workability) वाले concrete की जांच के लिए किया जाता है।

✅ Principle:
इस test में fresh concrete को vibration दिया जाता है और यह देखा जाता है कि cone shape का concrete cylindrical shape में बदलने में कितना समय लेता है।

⏱️ इस समय को Vee-Bee Time कहते हैं।

📌 जहाँ उपयोग होता है:
✔️ Roller Compacted Concrete (RCC Roads)
✔️ Airport Runways
✔️ Precast Concrete Products
✔️ Heavy Duty Pavements

📊 Interpretation:
• 0–3 sec → Very High Workability
• 3–6 sec → High Workability
• 6–12 sec → Medium Workability
• 12–20 sec → Low Workability
• More than 20 sec → Very Low Workability

🎯 Exam Point:
जब Slump Test लगभग 0 mm दिखाए, तब Vee-Bee Test सबसे उपयुक्त माना जाता है।
