On the occasion of Arbour Day, our school, in collaboration with the CBS Samaritans, organized a meaningful plantation drive within the school premises. Students from Classes VI to XII enthusiastically participated in the initiative, not only planting saplings but also advocating the importance of environmental conservation and raising awareness about the vital role trees play in sustaining life.

The day was celebrated with great zeal among the junior students through a variety of engaging activities designed to promote afforestation and foster environmental responsibility from an early age.

A special Chapel Service was also conducted to commemorate the occasion. During the service, students were encouraged to emulate the qualities of treesβ€”standing firm in faith, rooted in courage, and flourishing in kindness.

Today our school celebrated International Earth Day with great enthusiasm through a variety of meaningful and engaging activities across all sections.

Students of Nursery and KG participated in simple yet enjoyable activities to understand the importance of nature. Nursery children went on a nature walk and created a tree using fallen leaves, while KG students explored leaf printing and colouring activities. These activities helped them develop love and care for the environment.

Students of Classes 1–5 engaged in creative tasks such as sprouting, leaf printing, and eco-friendly crafts. Through these activities, they expressed their understanding of Earth Day and learned the importance of sustainability, conservation, and reducing waste in their daily lives.

Students of Classes 6–8 took part in an inter-house quiz based on environmental awareness. House points were awarded, and participants received seed packets as prizes to encourage planting. Audience members also actively answered bonus questions and were rewarded, symbolizing the importance of nurturing nature.

Students of Classes 9–12 attended a special chapel service highlighting the need to protect our planet. All students also brought zero-waste tiffins, avoiding disposable packaging, which reinforced the practice of sustainable living.

Some students of Classes 6–8 also visited the Victoria Memorial for the event β€œEarth Day: Our Power, Our Planet.” They participated in activities like painting on globe models and shared ideas on environmental protection. The experience encouraged awareness, reflection, and collective responsibility towards safeguarding the Earth.
