Om. In 1943 it was affiliated to the Ramakrishna Mission, Belur Math, Kolkata. Later Swami Sekharananda joined with him.

Ramakrishna Mission Sevashrama owes its origin to a group of devotees who formed a “Vedanta Sangha” at Chalapuram, in a rented house in 1930. At the beginning Swami Nirvikarananda was sent here to guide the devotees. In 1944 Swami Sekharananda purchased five acres of land at Meenchanda.
