The Smt. Hemlata Pathak Memorial Open District Badminton Tournament 2026 was inaugurated with great enthusiasm and sporting spirit at Excellia School on 30 May 2026. The event was graced by the esteemed presence of the Chief Guest, Mr. Ram Mohan Aggarwal, Head of the Lucknow Badminton Association, along with Chairman Mr. Puneet Pathak, Vice-Chairman Mrs. Manju Pathak, Director Mr. Asheesh Pathak & Mrs. Shalini Pathak, Mentor Mr. S. K. Mishra, Mr. Devendra Kaushal, Mr. Praveen Pandey, and Principal Mrs. Meenu Srivastava. Their presence and inspiring words added grandeur to the occasion and motivated the young athletes to perform to the best of their abilities.

The event commenced with a warm welcome to the guests, participants, officials, and spectators. Addressing the gathering, the dignitaries emphasized the importance of sports in fostering discipline, perseverance, teamwork, leadership, and a healthy lifestyle among students. They encouraged all participants to uphold the true spirit of sportsmanship and strive for excellence both on and off the court.

Organized under the guidance of Mr. Devendra Kaushal, the tournament brought together talented badminton players from across the district. A felicitation ceremony was organized today at Excellia School to honour the outstanding academic achievements of the Class XII students. The school campus echoed with happiness and pride as the achievers were recognized for their excellent performance in the board examinations.
The ceremony was graced by the Principal Ma’am, Mrs. Meenu Srivastava, who warmly congratulated the students by applying tika and conveying her heartfelt blessings and best wishes for their bright future. She appreciated the dedication, discipline, and hard work of the students and motivated them to continue achieving success in every sphere of life.
