IIM Mumbai celebrated the 12th International Day of Yoga with enthusiastic participation from faculty, staff, students, and their families. The event highlighted the importance of yoga in fostering physical well-being, mental balance, and healthy ageing.

Welcoming EMBA in Manufacturing Management – Batch 3 (2026–28)!

IIM Mumbai proudly inaugurated Batch 3 (2026–28) of the Executive MBA in Manufacturing Management, welcoming 33 participants from Tata Electronics Private Limited (TEPL) as they embark on a transformative journey of learning, leadership, and professional growth.

The inauguration ceremony, held at the TEPL Hosur Plant, was graced by the presence of Prof. Manoj Kumar Tiwari, Director, IIM Mumbai, along with Prof. Binilkumar A. S. (Chairperson, Executive Programmes), Prof. Vivek Khanzode (Dean Academics), Prof. Vivekanand Khanapuri (Dean SRIC), Prof. Rauf Iqbal (Programme Chair), Prof. B. E. Narkhede (Programme Co-Chair), and Prof. M. S. Mahapatra.

The distinguished faculty shared valuable perspectives on leadership, innovation, operational excellence, and the evolving landscape of manufacturing, setting the stage for a meaningful and impactful learning experience.

The programme also received strong support from Ms. Varsha Pillai, Head – Women in Manufacturing, Gender Advocacy & Diversity, TEPL, underscoring the organization's commitment to nurturing future-ready leaders and fostering an inclusive and diverse workplace.

The 9th batch of the PGDEx-VLFM Program was inaugurated at IIM Mumbai on Monday, 15th June 2026. PGDEx–VLFM is a one-year full-time residential executive program jointly conducted by IIM Mumbai and IIT Delhi to groom emerging leaders for mid and senior-level Managerial positions.

Prof. Ravindra Gokhale, the Program Chair welcomed the participants and briefed them about the academic structure of the Program and the revised curriculum. Dean Academic Prof. Vivek Khanzode spoke about the journey of this program from its inception and how this program has carved its niche among various other programs. Director Prof. Manoj Kumar Tiwari who is the constant source of guidance for this program, gathered the academic and professional background, and the future aspirations of every single participant. He spoke about the crucial juncture at which the AI-driven transformation is currently, and how the participants can make the best use of that opportunity in the next one year. He urged the participants to spend their time gathering as much knowledge as they can, read good articles based on management, expand their professional network, as well as focus on their health. He also guided the participants towards the invincible formula for success under any situation. Prof. Utpal Chattopadhyay, Prof. Binilkumar, and Prof. K. S. Ranjani also interacted with the participants.

The PGDEx-VLFM has many firsts to its credit. It was the first full-time executive program started by IIM Mumbai (erstwhile NITIE). It was also the first full-time multi-Institute collaborative program for IIM Mumbai. As the name suggests, the program aims to create visionary leaders in the manufacturing domain. Specifically, change drivers who would provide the strategic impetus over a wide range of verticals such as Operations & Supply Chain Management, Strategic Planning, Business Excellence, Digital transformation, and World-Class Manufacturing.

IIM Mumbai on this occasion, welcomes all the participants of the VLFM-09 Batch and wishes them a great year ahead. It also thanks IIT Delhi, the collaborator for this program for making this unique program a great success.
