On March 10,2025,the students of D.A.V.Cent. Public School, Nabha, participated in a tree plantation drive to promote environmental awareness and contribute to make the school campus greener. The event was held during the morning assembly where students from different classes gathered in the school Garden area. The program begins with the brief speech by the principal ,emphasizing the significance of tree in maintaining ecological balance. Over 30 student activities participated in the plantation activity .Each student was assigned a specific location within the school ground to plant their sapling . The students were encouraged to take responsibility for nurturing the plants by watering and caring for them. The event not only beautified the school campus but also instilled a sense of environmental Responsibility in the students.
As part of this initiative the Eco club of DAV Central Public School Nabha organised a cleanliness drive as swachhata Abhiyan. To raise awareness among students about the importance of keeping their surroundings clean. The primary goal of the event was to encourage students to actively participate in cleanliness efforts, spread awareness about waste management and promote the values of hygienic and cleanliness within the school community. Students along with the Eco club teachers took part in the cleanliness drive within the school campus. The area covered included the playground and surrounding of the school . Proper ways of segregation were emphasized, the students were encouraged to dispose of waste in the correct bin . The swachhata Abhiyan organised by the Eco club was founded success. It not only helped in the making the school environment cleaner but also installed as sense off responsibility in the students towards maintaining cleanness both within and outside the school.
