Four In A Row: Young Innovators Clinch 2nd Prize at CSIR-NEERI Expo 2026 NAGPUR
In a spectacular display of consecutive academic excellence, our brilliant young minds have secured the coveted 2nd Prize at the prestigious "Student Research and Innovation Expo 2026". This landmark victory marks the fourth consecutive year of triumph for the institution at this high-profile arena.
The competitive exhibition was organized as a core segment of the '68th CSIR-NEERI Foundation Day' celebrations, specifically targeting the highly competitive Class VIII to X category.

The Winning Innovation
The award-winning project, titled E.C.F.T (Earthquake, Cyclone, Flood, Tsunami) All-Terrain Vehicle, captivated the jury with its advanced engineering and disaster-response capabilities. The masterful prototype was envisioned, designed, and executed by a talented trio of eighth-graders of Lalitha Public School :

Anurag Samanta (Class VIII)
Anjaneya Anturkar (Class VIII)
Karan Harinkhede (Class VIII)

The team achieved this monumental feat under the guidance and mentorship of Mr. Sandeep Pandey.

The Grand Presentation
Though the core competition took place on April 8, 2026, the crowning moment unfolded at a grand felicitation ceremony held on June 5, 2026, coinciding with the joint celebrations of 'World Environment Day' and 'National Technology Day at the NEERI campus.
The prestigious awards and certificates were presented to the triumphant students by the Chief Guest, Dr. Rakesh Mishra , the distinguished Director of the Tata Institute for Genetics and Society (TIGS), Bengaluru, and Former Director of CSIR-CCMB, Hyderabad.
