🏸 Proud Moment for Our Young Shuttlers! 🏸

Sugam Gurung made his debut at the Sikkim State Sub-Junior & Junior Ranking Badminton Tournament 2026 held at Namchi Indoor Hall — and what a performance it was!

In his very first appearance, Sugam showed great determination by defeating a 9th seeded player. He later faced a tough match against the eventual Under-15 champion, Alwin Rai (BAJ), and fought bravely. Finishing among the top 16 players in such a competitive tournament is a fantastic achievement for a first-timer! 👏🔥

We also appreciate the effort of Lanchu Sherpa, who participated in the tournament and gained valuable experience. Though he lost in the first round, stepping onto such a competitive stage is itself a big achievement and a learning step toward future success. 💪

The school is proud of both the students for their effort, courage, and sportsmanship. This is just the beginning of many more achievements to come!

Every match is a lesson, every tournament is a step forward!

Keep shining and smashing! 🏸✨

Date: 22nd April 2026
On this meaningful day, the school witnessed a quiet yet profound expression of unity. Generous SMC members and parents extended their willing hands to paint the iron bar gallery of the badminton court, bringing enamel paint and brushes through their own shared contribution. Their effort reflected not mere participation, but a deep-rooted sense of belonging—an unspoken acknowledgment that the school is a collective trust, nurtured by many hearts.
The staff, too, stood alongside them, offering their support and presence, transforming the moment into one of true collaboration. In this simple act of working together, the boundaries between roles dissolved, and what emerged was a shared purpose.
Each stroke of paint became a symbol—of care, of responsibility, and of the silent understanding that institutions thrive not only on structure, but on the spirit of togetherness. It was a reminder that when individuals unite with sincerity, even the most ordinary tasks attain a quiet dignity, shaping not just spaces, but relationships and values that endure

Report on World Earth Day 2026
Lower Perbing Junior High School
On the serene morning of 22nd April 2026, Lower Perbing Junior High School came together to observe World Earth Day with a spirit that transcended routine celebration and entered the realm of thoughtful reflection. The day was not merely marked on the calendar; it was felt in the quiet resolve of young minds and the collective consciousness of the school community.
Students assembled with flower pots gently held in their hands—each pot not just a vessel of soil and plant, but a living symbol of hope, responsibility, and continuity. In that simple act, they embodied a profound truth: that the Earth does not ask for grand gestures, but for mindful care and sustained compassion.
The gathering reflected a silent dialogue between humanity and nature. The children, standing together, represented the guardians of tomorrow, while the plants they held signified life in its most nurturing and dependent form. It was a moment where education moved beyond textbooks, transforming into a lived experience of harmony with the natural world.
The observance encouraged students to reflect on their role as custodians of the Earth. It instilled an understanding that the environment is not an inheritance from the past, but a responsibility borrowed from the future. Through this symbolic act, the school reinforced the idea that every small effort—when guided by awareness—can contribute to a larger ecological balance.
Thus, World Earth Day 2026 at Lower Perbing Junior High School was not only a celebration, but a gentle reminder that the bond between humans and nature is sacred, and its preservation lies in our daily choices and shared conscience.

Mrs. Lokila Gurung, the gardener of Lower Perbing Junior High School, embodies a quiet philosophy of dedication and purpose. In her hands, gardening is not merely a task—it is a living expression of patience, care, and unwavering commitment. Every seed she plants carries a lesson: that growth takes time, that beauty emerges from consistent effort, and that even the smallest acts, done with sincerity, can transform the world around us.
Her work reminds us that true passion is not measured by recognition, but by the love we pour into what we do each day. Like the garden she nurtures, she cultivates life with humility, turning ordinary soil into a space of inspiration for all who pass by. In her silent service, she teaches that greatness lies not in grand gestures, but in the steady, devoted tending of one’s responsibilities.
Mrs. Gurung stands as a living example that when work is done with heart and purpose, it becomes more than a profession—it becomes a legacy.
