As part of the Janjatiya Gaurav Pakhwada celebration, various videos highlighting the rich culture, traditional dances, cuisines, ornaments, and historical background of the tribal communities of Sikkim were shown to the students.
The screening provided valuable insights into the diverse traditions and lifestyles of the tribal people of the state, helping students appreciate and take pride in Sikkim’s rich tribal heritage.

In order to commemorate Janjatiya Gaurav Pakhwada, the Government Tingrithang Junior High School conducted an essay competition for students of Classes VII and VIII. The participants wrote essays on the life and contributions of Birsa Munda.

The students drew pictures of Birsa Munda, the great tribal leader and freedom fighter. Veer Gatha 5.0 Drawing Competition – Tingrithang JHS
Under the banner Veer Gatha 5.0, a drawing competition was conducted for students of Classes 4 to 8 at Tingrithang Junior High School (JHS). The students created beautiful drawings depicting the Veers, showcasing their creativity.
Certificates were also generated from the official Veer Gatha website to all participants in recognition of their efforts and talent.

Rashtriya Ekta Diwas was celebrated at Government Tingrithang Junior High School on 31st October 2025. This day is observed to remember Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, who worked hard to keep India united.
The Headmistress led the National Unity Pledge, and all the students, teachers, and staff took part in it. She also gave a short speech on Rashtriya Ekta Diwas, highlighting the importance of unity and harmony in our country.

Govt Tingrithang Jr High School enthusiastically participated in the Viksit Bharat Buildathon 2025 Live Synchronization Online Tinkering Session on 13th October 2025, an initiative of the Ministry of Education in collaboration with the Atal Innovation Mission.
The event aimed to inspire students to ideate, design, and develop prototypes under the themes Atmanirbhar Bharat, Swadeshi, Vocal for Local, and Samriddh Bharat, in alignment with the vision of Viksit Bharat @2047.
Students from Classes 7 and 8 took part in the nationwide innovation movement, engaging in creative discussions and activities to promote problem-solving and innovation. The school also joined the live coverage through YouTube, connecting with schools across India from 10 a.m. to 12 noon, and witnessed the synchronized tinkering sessions conducted across various states.
The programme encouraged students to think critically and creatively while understanding the importance of innovation and self-reliance in shaping the nation’s future.
