Learning Beyond the Classroom: A Field Trip to Innovation & Creativity
Our students recently embarked on an exciting educational journey to the National Institute of Electronics and Information Technology (NIELIT) and AAMA Studio (Asian Anime and Manga Academy) and it was truly a day full of discovery, creativity, and hands-on learning!
At NIELIT, Pakyong, students explored the world of advanced technology. Guided by Mr. Sachin Mangar (Senior Faculty) and enthusiastic interns, they visited cutting-edge labs including the AR/VR Lab, IoT Lab, India AI & Data Lab, and the E-Waste Lab. It was inspiring to see students engage with real-world applications of science and technology learning beyond textbooks and connecting classroom knowledge to the community.
The journey continued at AAMA Studio, Sikkim’s first anime and MANGA Training Institute, founded by Mr. Dewaker Basnet. Here, students stepped into a world of art and imagination! They explored anime creation and even tried their hand at painting on clay plates. The studio itself was a unique experience built using eco-friendly rammed earth, surrounded by nature, with beautiful Japanese-style rooms that brought them closer to creativity and the environment.
It was a memorable day where learning met exploration and our students came back inspired, informed, and full of new ideas.
