The outgoing students of class VIII were offered with a token of love as their time at Lungchok JHS comes to an end, though they will be starting a new journey at new school we will surely miss them and wish them only the best for their future✨
The mementos were offered alongside their report cards which was handed to the students by their respective parents.

Celebration of Children’s Day 2025🎈
The students alongwith all the staffs were taken for a day picnic at Gulmohar Park, Kumrek. It was a joyous and a great celebration as the students celebrated and enjoyed fully.
Overall a day well spent🥳

With observance to the Sewa Pakhwada, a Cleanliness Drive was organised in the nearby EPCS church where the students and the staffs participated as a third day activity. It was made sure that the church’s surrounding was cleaned properly.
In addition to this students also prepared posters displaying slogans based upon Health & Hygiene and Cleanliness.

On 10th September 2025, Govt. Junior High School Lungchok celebrated Post Teacher’s Day with the presence of the SMC Chairman, Headmaster, all the staffs and students and the guardians.
On behalf of all the staffs we the LJHS family would like to thank specially to all our students’ guardians for taking the initiative and celebrating this day in a more special manner🙏🏻 special thanks to all the school captains as well for taking the leadership and organising this program in such a wonderful way “Thank You” dear students for your love and appreciation🤗

Patriotic Song performed by the senior students on the occasion of the 79th Independence Day🇮🇳👏
Our students performed a Lepcha Dance on the occasion of ‘Tendong Lhorum Faat’ on 8th August. The dance showcased the Lepcha ritual of a Boongthing or a Lepcha Priest praying to the local deity and also three hunters depicting the Lepcha forefathers who mostly practiced hunting for their livelihood. The girl dancers will also be seen carrying ‘Podom’ made from bamboos which is used to carry water. Overall this performance was a tribute to the age old tradition of the Lepcha Community which is one of the indigenous tribal community along with other indigenous communities of Sikkim.
