Sikkim Skill University (SSU) strongly denies the false allegations recently circulated on the basis of an unverified and fabricated complaint. Verification has confirmed that the Aadhaar details of an unsuspecting labourer were misused by unknown individuals to create the complaint. Legal action, including criminal and civil proceedings for defamation, is already underway.

It is unfortunate that a member of the opposition continues to make baseless public statements against a legally recognised University without verification. Such irresponsible remarks have caused unnecessary distress to our students, faculty, and staff and have damaged the reputation of the institution.

SSU also clarifies that it has lawfully initiated the process to acquire over 10 acres of land in Namthang for development of a state-of-the-art private university campus. The proposal is currently under review by the competent authorities and is progressing as per legal requirements.

We urge all concerned to refrain from spreading misinformation that threatens the safety, dignity, and mental well-being of our University community. SSU remains committed to academic excellence, transparency, and the welfare of its students and staff.
