🌳 World Environment Day 2026: “Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam” Plantation Drive at Government Secondary School Rong 🌱
On the occasion of World Environment Day 2026, Government Secondary School Rong actively participated in the “Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam” plantation drive. The programme began with a special morning assembly where students were made aware of the importance of environmental conservation and the role of trees in sustaining life on Earth.
A short and meaningful skit was presented by the students, highlighting how trees support both humans and animals by providing oxygen, food, shelter, and a healthy environment. The skit also showcased the harmful effects of deforestation and conveyed a strong message to protect nature by planting and preserving trees.
Following the awareness programme, students and teachers enthusiastically took part in a plantation drive and successfully planted 16 saplings within the school premises. The activity aimed to encourage environmental responsibility and inspire everyone to contribute towards a greener and healthier future.
