In accordance with the guidelines received from the District Education Department regarding the formation of a new School Management Committee (SMC), an important meeting was held at Salleybong Junior High School. Attendees included Mr. Tashi Dorjee Tamang (CLC President, Namchi-Singithang Constituency), Mr. Enosh Rai (Ward Panchayat, Upper Salleybong), Mr. Robin Tamang (Ward Panchayat, Lower Salleybong), Mr. Hari Bahadur Tamang (SMC Member), ASHA worker Smt. Man Maya Gurung, along with parents, teachers, and guardians. During the meeting, a new SMC was constituted: Mr. Enosh Rai was appointed as President and Mr. Tashi Dorjee Tamang as Vice-President. Mrs. Pranita Manger (Headmistress) was appointed as Member Secretary, with the following members: Mr. Robin Tamang, Mrs. Man Maya Tamang, Mr. LP Thapa, Mrs. Santi Rai, Mr. Dinesh Kami, Mrs. Mani Maya Rai, Mrs. Luckey Gurung, Mrs. Dhan Maya Gurung, Ms. Prakriti Darnal, Mrs. Suhana Rai, Mrs. Kalpana Rai, and Mrs. Anu Sherpa. Sub-committees were also formed: the Academic Committee (led by Mrs. Man Maya Gurung, with members Mrs. Mingma Diki Sherpa, Mrs. Bhumika Rai [Anganwadi], Mrs. Suk Maya Biswakarma, and Mrs. Lal Mati Rai) and the Building Committee (comprising Mr. Robin Tamang, Mr. Dinesh Kami, Mr. Hari Prasad Tamang, Mr. Mingma Tshring Lepcha, and Mr. Netu Kami). The roles, responsibilities, and functions of the SMC, as outlined in the guidelines, were explained in detail to the attendees. Salleybong JHS marked World Environment Day on June 5, 2026. The event commenced with a speech by Adreen Lepcha, a Grade VII student, on the occasion of World Environment Day. The importance of tree plantation and its benefits were highlighted during the event. A cleanliness drive and tree plantation drive were also conducted around the school premises, emphasizing the school's commitment to environmental conservation.

World No To***co Day was commemorated at Salleybong Junior High School on June 2, 2026. The event featured: 1) A pledge-taking ceremony, 2) An awareness speech delivered by Mrs. Roji Rai, 3) A painting competition among students of Grade VII and VIII, with Ana Rai (VII) secured the 1st position, Reshma Rai (VIII) took 2nd position and Noora Mukhiya (VII) securing third position.

Salleybong Junior High school organised an Inter House 'Spell Bee'Competition.Students participated with great enthusiasm and vigor.
Congratulations to both the houses. Even though we had to shift the date, it was absolutely worth it! Huge congrats to Red House (Mainam) for winning the Primary level and Blue House (Tendong) for conquering the Upper Primary level! 🎉 So proud of everyone! 🏆
