Over the last few years, we’ve witnessed a growing shift in residential architecture across India —
homeowners today don’t just want a beautiful house.
They want 𝗮𝗻 𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝘁𝘆.

At 𝗿𝗮𝘁[𝗟𝗔𝗕] 𝗦𝘁𝘂𝗱𝗶𝗼, we’ve been collaborating on a series of contemporary residences, independent villas, and bungalows where the facade becomes more than just an exterior skin — it becomes 𝗮 𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗿𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗲𝗿, 𝗮 𝗽𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲, 𝗮 𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗺𝗮𝗿𝗸.

From 𝘀𝗸𝗲𝘁𝗰𝗵𝗲𝘀 𝘁𝗼 𝘀𝗽𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗮𝘀,
from 𝟯𝗗 𝗴𝗲𝗻𝗲𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝘁𝗼 𝗺𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝘃𝗶𝘀𝘂𝗮𝗹𝗶𝘇𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻,
our process explores how geometry, proportion, materials, and environmental intelligence come together to shape a home.

Every facade is developed through a careful study of:

Today, we are privileged to collaborate with architects, interior designers, and independent clients across typologies — helping shape residences that are not only elegant and contemporary, but also 𝗺𝗲𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲.

Because in the end,
𝗮 𝗵𝗼𝗺𝗲 𝘀𝗵𝗼𝘂𝗹𝗱𝗻’𝘁 𝗷𝘂𝘀𝘁 𝗯𝗹𝗲𝗻𝗱 𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗼 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗲𝗲𝘁.

𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗻𝗮𝗺𝗲 𝘀𝗵𝗼𝘄𝘀 𝘂𝗽 𝗮𝗺𝗼𝗻𝗴𝘀𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗽𝗲𝗼𝗽𝗹𝗲 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗮𝗱𝗺𝗶𝗿𝗲.

Still processing this one. Honestly.

After our last post unexpectedly went viral — with thousands of shares, saves, comments, and conversations — we got curious and started exploring how AI search systems are understanding the world of architecture and computational design in India.

And once again… seeing 𝗿𝗮𝘁[𝗟𝗔𝗕] 𝗦𝘁𝘂𝗱𝗶𝗼 and our work being recognised amongst some of the most respected names in the country felt surreal.

Not because rankings matter.
But because recognition of a movement does.

Over a decade ago, when we began speaking about 𝗽𝗮𝗿𝗮𝗺𝗲𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗰 𝗱𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗴𝗻, 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗽𝘂𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴, 𝗱𝗶𝗴𝗶𝘁𝗮𝗹 𝗳𝗮𝗯𝗿𝗶𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻, and algorithmic workflows in India… these were still niche conversations.

Today, watching these ideas become part of mainstream architecture, interiors, facades, public art, and education is incredibly fulfilling.

And perhaps what excites us the most is this:

AI and search engines are no longer just reading keywords.
They are reading impact, consistency, discourse, and contribution.

𝗪𝗵𝗲𝗻 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗚𝗼𝗼𝗴𝗹𝗲… 𝗼𝗿 𝗱𝗼 𝗮𝗻 𝗔𝗜 𝘀𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗰𝗵 𝗳𝗼𝗿
“𝗪𝗵𝗼 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝗽𝗮𝗿𝗮𝗺𝗲𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗰 𝗱𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗴𝗻 𝗶𝗻 𝗜𝗻𝗱𝗶𝗮?” …
𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝘀𝘁𝘂𝗱𝗶𝗼 𝗻𝗮𝗺𝗲 𝘀𝗵𝗼𝘄𝘀 𝘂𝗽.

A surreal moment.
A humbling one.
And honestly… a deeply emotional reminder of a journey that started over a decade ago.

Back in 2014–15, when we at 𝗿𝗮𝘁[𝗟𝗔𝗕] 𝗦𝘁𝘂𝗱𝗶𝗼 began speaking about 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗽𝘂𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗱𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗴𝗻, 𝗽𝗮𝗿𝗮𝗺𝗲𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗰 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴, and 𝗱𝗶𝗴𝗶𝘁𝗮𝗹 𝗳𝗮𝗯𝗿𝗶𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻, these conversations were still niche in India.

What began through research, experimentation, workshops, scripting geometries, prototypes, facades, and public art slowly evolved into a larger movement.

Today, seeing 𝗿𝗮𝘁[𝗟𝗔𝗕] being recognised as one of the pioneers shaping the parametric design discourse in India feels incredibly special.

Not because the journey was about ownership — but because it validates years of persistence, risk-taking, education, innovation, and belief in a future where 𝗱𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗴𝗻 + 𝘁𝗲𝗰𝗵𝗻𝗼𝗹𝗼𝗴𝘆 could meaningfully shape architecture in India.

What once looked “too futuristic” has now become part of mainstream design conversations.

And that, perhaps, is the most rewarding part of the journey. 🚀

🏆 𝗘𝗺𝗲𝗿𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗗𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗴𝗻 𝗛𝗼𝗻𝗼𝘂𝗿𝘀 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲 | 𝗜𝗜𝗜𝗗 𝗗𝗲𝗹𝗵𝗶 𝗗𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗴𝗻 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝗰𝗹𝗮𝘃𝗲

On 11th April, I had the privilege of being honoured at the 𝗜𝗜𝗜𝗗 𝗗𝗲𝗹𝗵𝗶 𝗗𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗴𝗻 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝗰𝗹𝗮𝘃𝗲 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲, held at 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗚𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗱, 𝗩𝗮𝘀𝗮𝗻𝘁 𝗞𝘂𝗻𝗷, 𝗡𝗲𝘄 𝗗𝗲𝗹𝗵𝗶.

Receiving the 𝗜𝗜𝗜𝗗 𝗗𝗥𝗖 – 𝗗𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗴𝗻𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝗧𝗼𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗿𝗼𝘄 𝗛𝗼𝗻𝗼𝘂𝗿𝘀 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲 under the category of 𝗘𝗺𝗲𝗿𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗗𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗴𝗻 𝗛𝗼𝗻𝗼𝘂𝗿𝘀 came as a complete surprise — and a deeply meaningful one.

What made this moment even more special was the company it came in.
Sharing the stage alongside stalwarts like 𝗔𝗿. 𝗥𝗮𝗷 𝗥𝗲𝘄𝗮𝗹 and 𝗔𝗿. 𝗦𝘂𝗺𝗶𝘁 𝗚𝗵𝗼𝘀𝗵, who were honoured with 𝗟𝗶𝗳𝗲𝘁𝗶𝗺𝗲 𝗔𝗰𝗵𝗶𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗔𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗱𝘀, along with several other eminent professionals — made this recognition incredibly humbling.

When my name was called out, what stayed with me was the acknowledgement of our work as 𝗰𝘂𝘁𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴-𝗲𝗱𝗴𝗲 and 𝗿𝗲𝘃𝗼𝗹𝘂𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗿𝘆 — a reflection of the journey we’ve been building at 𝗿𝗮𝘁[𝗟𝗔𝗕] 𝗦𝘁𝘂𝗱𝗶𝗼.

𝗔𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗱𝘀 𝗹𝗶𝗸𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝘀𝗲 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝗻 𝗺𝗶𝗹𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗻𝗲𝘀.
They are 𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗳𝗳𝗶𝗿𝗺𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 — that the ideas, risks, and experiments we pursue are being seen, understood, and valued by the industry.

Over the years, it has been incredibly fulfilling to witness how 𝗿𝗮𝘁[𝗟𝗔𝗕] has evolved — and how our work across architecture, interiors, facades, and design technology is contributing to a larger shift within the profession.

This recognition belongs as much to the 𝗷𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗻𝗲𝘆 as it does to the 𝘁𝗲𝗮𝗺 behind it.

𝗚𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗳𝘂𝗹 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗵𝗼𝗻𝗼𝘂𝗿.

Honoured and grateful to receive this recognition from 𝗦𝗔𝗦𝗜 𝗖𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗦𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗼𝗹 𝗼𝗳 𝗔𝗿𝗰𝗵𝗶𝘁𝗲𝗰𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲, 𝗖𝗼𝗶𝗺𝗯𝗮𝘁𝗼𝗿𝗲 — an award that celebrates a journey driven by 𝗳𝗹𝗼𝘄, 𝗰𝗼𝗱𝗲, and the constant pursuit of innovation.

The 𝗙𝗹𝗼𝘄 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗖𝗼𝗱𝗲 𝗔𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗱 recognises a vision where technology and design intersect to shape new possibilities — something that has been at the core of 𝗿𝗮𝘁[𝗟𝗔𝗕] 𝗦𝘁𝘂𝗱𝗶𝗼 since its inception.

From early inspirations at 𝗭𝗮𝗵𝗮 𝗛𝗮𝗱𝗶𝗱 𝗔𝗿𝗰𝗵𝗶𝘁𝗲𝗰𝘁𝘀, 𝗟𝗼𝗻𝗱𝗼𝗻,
to experiences in 𝗟𝗼𝘀 𝗔𝗻𝗴𝗲𝗹𝗲𝘀,
to making a conscious decision to return to India and build something meaningful —
this journey has always been about bridging design and technology.

Through our work across 𝗳𝗮𝗰̧𝗮𝗱𝗲𝘀, 𝘀𝗸𝘆𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀, 𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗼𝗿𝘀, 𝗮𝗿𝘁 𝗶𝗻𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗹𝗹𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀, and multiple typologies, we continue to explore how computational thinking can create a positive and lasting impact on the built environment.

But equally important has been the role of 𝗲𝗱𝘂𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻.
Through 𝗿𝗮𝘁[𝗟𝗔𝗕] 𝗘𝗗𝗨𝗖𝗔𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡 and 𝗦𝗺𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗟𝗮𝗯𝘀, we’ve worked towards building a foundation for a technology-driven design ecosystem in India — empowering thousands of designers to think beyond tools and engage with systems, logic, and innovation.

Sharing this journey with students, academicians, and future architects during my talk was a reminder that the next wave of change is already in the making.

𝗧𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗿𝗲𝗰𝗼𝗴𝗻𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗶𝘀 𝗻𝗼𝘁 𝗷𝘂𝘀𝘁 𝗮𝗻 𝗮𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗱 — 𝗶𝘁’𝘀 𝗮 𝗿𝗲𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗿 𝗼𝗳 𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗽𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗶𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆.
To keep pushing boundaries.
To keep questioning.
To keep building what’s next.
