इस जहाँ में तेरे लिए , इज़्ज़त भी है
अपनी इज़्ज़त के लिए,अपनों से तुझे लड़ना होगा
"अब तो उठ चल मेरी जाँ , तुझे चलना होगा"(1)
डर से सेहमी , अपने आँचल में रहेगी कबतक
यूँही हंसकर , तू दुखों को सहेगी कबतक
दुनिया की कही बात , सुनेगी कबतक
बेड़ियाँ पाओं में रस्मों की ,रखेगी कबतक
तोड़कर सारी रसम तुझे चलना होगा
"अब तो उठ चल मेरी जाँ तुझे चलना होगा"
तू है औरत तो तेरी ज़ात से दूरी क्यों है
फिर बिना तेरे हर एक तस्वीर अधोरी क्यों है
हर क़दम साथ तेरा इतना ज़रूरी क्यों है
साथ हो तेरा तो ये ज़िन्दगी पुरी क्यों है
ज़िन्दगी का तू अहम हिस्सा है समझना होगा
