Is it burnout... or is it your thyroid? đŚđ
That tiny, butterfly-shaped gland in your neck acts as your bodyâs master engine. It regulates your heart rate, metabolism, temperature, and even your mood. When itâs running too slow or too fast, your whole body feels it.
Because thyroid symptoms mimic everyday stress and aging, millions of people ignore the warning signs. This World Thyroid Day, letâs break down the two main ways your thyroid stalls:
đ Hypothyroidism (The Engine Slows Down)
⢠Chronic fatigue & âbrain fogâ
⢠Unexplained weight gain
⢠Feeling cold constantly
⢠Dry skin & hair thinning
đ Hyperthyroidism (The Engine Races)
⢠Sudden, unexplained weight loss
⢠Rapid or irregular heartbeat
⢠High anxiety, tremors, or nervousness
⢠Heat intolerance & heavy sweating
The Medmaster Takeaway:
You donât have to guess. If youâve been feeling âoffâ for months, a simple TSH (Thyroid Stimulating Hormone) blood test is the first step to getting clear answers.
Medication and targeted nutrition can give you your energy back.

đŹ On World AIDS Vaccine Day (May 18), we arenât just raising awarenessâwe are honoring the incredible scientists, volunteers, and health professionals working tirelessly to develop an effective vaccine against HIV.
While antiretroviral therapy (ART) has transformed HIV from a fatal diagnosis into a manageable chronic condition, a vaccine remains the ultimate goal to completely eradicate the virus globally.
Why is an HIV vaccine so challenging to develop?
𧏠Rapid Mutation: The virus changes its structure incredibly fast, making it a moving target for the immune system.
đĄď¸ Immune System Evasion: HIV directly attacks the very immune cells meant to fight it.
But hope is far from lost. The groundbreaking mRNA technology used in recent years is currently being leveraged in clinical trials for new HIV vaccine candidates, bringing us closer than ever before.
Today, letâs appreciate the science, support the research, and continue to fight the stigma.

The Result Doesnât Define the Doctor. đŠşâ¨
To every warrior who didnât see âQualifiedâ on their result screen today: Take a deep breath.
We know the weight youâre carrying. The months of isolation, the endless cycles of Grand Tests, the coffee-fueled nights, and the sacrifices made in the pursuit of those two letters: PG. Seeing a result that doesnât reflect your hard work feels like a heartbreak, but letâs get one thing straightâthis is a pause, not a full stop.
Remember This:
⢠A Rank is Not a Resume of Your Worth: A three-hour exam can measure your recall of certain facts, but it cannot measure your clinical intuition, your empathy for patients, or your resilience.
⢠The Path is Rarely Linear: Some of the finest specialists in the country didnât clear on their first, or even second, attempt. Their âfailureâ became the foundation of their grit.
⢠You Are Already a Doctor: You have crossed the hurdle of MBBS. You have saved lives during internship. You have the knowledge; now you just need a different strategy.
What Now?
1. Grieve, then Group Up: Itâs okay to be upset. Give yourself a day or two to feel it. Then, dust off the apron.
2. Analyze, Donât Agonize: Was it time management? Was it a weak subject? Or was it just a bad day? Identify the gap.
3. Consistency Over Intensity: You donât need to study 18 hours tomorrow. You just need to start again, one concept at a time.
âSuccess is not final, failure is not fatal: it is the courage to continue that counts.â â Winston Churchill
The white coat still fits. The dream is still yours for the taking. We are with you in this journey.
Keep the faith. Reset. Refocus. Restart. đ
