And this is how I like my eggs!!! While the brownies were baking in the oven, my fidgety fingers were egging on Art.

I have been having this itch of making something interesting, colourful and nutritious with a few veggies in my pantry. So it led me to make this watermelon lookalike bread today. No artificial flavours are used in the making of this bread. The rich red colour is imparted by beetroot and the green colour with spinach. The seeds of the watermelon are replicated by roasted flaxseed. The bread is highly nutritious and rich in antioxidants.

My freshly baked "Garden on the Bread" is just out of the oven. It smells heavenly and it is definitely not a guilty indulgence with so much of flowery vegetables on the top.

Baking chronicles!!! Another culinary experiment led to baking a layered pesto pull apart bread. Had made a similar nutella bread sometime back but wanted to stick to something savoury this time and hence this Pesto bread. Loved baking this one.

When gastronomy marries crafting the result is this. The flowers in my garden have started withering but bloomed this sunflower in my kitchen today. Baked this pull apart Sunflower bread with cottage cheese filling. It fills the house with a heavenly aroma. Just loving it!!!!

I am seeing a lot of people struggling hard to get a good birthday cake during this quarantine period. My husband is diabetic and I have been avoiding these creamy store bought cakes for his birthday for quite some years now. So in order to go healthy I gave a twist to the traditional cake. So here's a "No Bake, Fake Cake" made completely with fruits. Now I don't have to whine if he delves too much into eating this one. (Just to clarify- it's not his birthday today but I dug this photo from the archives to share with all of you.)

Random doodling. It can surely be very therapeutic. Relaxes mind body and soul.

Criss Cross Woven Paranthas:
Serving nutritious food to children is always a task for parents, specially the picky eaters. I always try to zest up the food with a few twists to make mundane food more appeasing. So with the idea of serving immunity booster foods during these rough times I made these criss cross woven Paranthas with spinach and carrot ( though I would have preferred beetroot but made do with what was available in the refrigerator). My son calls them designer Paranthas. Sure, he has been trapped into having nutritious food by design!!!
