LABORATORIES:The Vidyalaya has separate, spacious , well-equipped and highly sophisticated Physics lab, Chemistry Lab and Biology lab to train the students in various curricular practical and to expose them to the practical way of learning. COMPUTER LABS: To keep pace with the ever-progressive Info Tech World, the Vidyalaya offers its students an opportunity to learn computer education by providing them three separate dust free computer labs( going to be air-conditioned very soon) for Primary Secondary and Senior Secondary classes with Broad Band Inter net connection to explore new vistas in the field of education. LIBRARY: To cater to the need of developing reading habits in students, the Vidyalaya provides its students more than ten thousand books with wide variety in all disciplines. Kendriya vidyalaya no-1 has well furnished, sophisticated library that can accommodate more than 60 students at a time. Library have more than 10,000 books in different subjects along with more than 20 academic magazines for the exclusive use of students and teachers that prepares the students for various competition including for medical and engineering. Students and teachers have been using the vidyalaya library in its fullest extent and getting benefited out of it. The entire information of the books have been computerized and made it available to the staff and students for their quick reference to find any book available in the library at a distance of mouse click. The vidyalaya library facilitate the teachers and students to recommend the book to be made available in the library from time to time. The library follows the DDC classification system and AACR-II for cataloguing. Books are being issued to the students wit the rules :- two books at a time for a week. Books are being made available to the primary classes in their respective classes itself. Class room library has been made for each and every section in their respective sections. To bring the awareness and to develop reading habits among the students and staff of the vidyalaya, the library of the vidyalaya has been organizing different activities such as book fair, user education program & slide show with available educational CD’s etc.
