DBRAIT in association with IEI–ANSC, observed Energy Conservation Day 2025 as part of
Energy Conservation Week (14–20 December 2025) by organizing an invited talk. The programme graced by Commandant Naresh Kumar, FIE, Indian Coast Guard, who is presently serving as Regional Technical Officer, ICG, Sri Vijaya Puram, and is also a Certified Energy Auditor. On this occasion, Commandant Naresh Kumar delivered an expert talk on the Energy Conservation Act, highlighting its significance and implementation. The invited talk was held on 18th December 2025.

On December 8, 2025, Dr. B. R. Ambedkar Institute of Technology (DBRAIT) hosted a Gender Sensitization Session under the PM–USHA scheme in collaboration with the Directorate of Social Welfare, focusing on promoting gender equality and inclusivity. Dr. (Prof.) Sanmukh Kaur underscored the pivotal role of education in dismantling gender stereotypes. Dr. S. Raji, HoD (I/c) of Civil Engineering and PM–USHA Coordinator, welcomed the gathering and emphasized fostering respect and dismantling stereotypes among young learners. Speakers including Dr. Nitu Sindhu, State Mission Coordinator, and Smti. Hemlatha, Gender Specialist, highlighted the need for collective efforts—especially involving men and boys—to cultivate safe, gender-neutral spaces. The interactive session saw enthusiastic student participation, reinforcing the importance of challenging biases and fostering respect. The event, coordinated by Smti. S. Aishwarya, Lecturer (SS) in Civil Engineering and Gender Sensitization & IKS Coordinator, concluded with a vote of thanks by Dr. Sharboni Mallick, acknowledging the support of collaborators and participants.

The Coast Guard Region (A&N) Headquarters organized a Technical Seminar on "Modern Marine Technology" at Coast Guard Spectrum, Haddo, on October 31, 2025. Prof. (Dr.) Sanmukh Kaur, Principal of DBRAIT, delivered a keynote address on "Advances in Maritime Communication and Navigation." She highlighted the role of technologies like NavIC, Li-Fi, and machine learning in enhancing maritime safety and efficiency. Specifically, she discussed the importance of GPS, radar systems, and IRNSS in navigation, and how machine learning can predict weather conditions and detect objects. Additionally, Dr. Manu Vashishtha, Senior Lecturer in Chemistry at DBRAIT, presented on "Modern Anti-Corrosion Technologies in the Maritime World," sharing insights on corrosion prevention, smart coatings, and eco-friendly materials. The seminar concluded with interactive discussions and interest in potential collaborations on corrosion management.

Celebrating 58th Engineers' Day:
Insights from Dr. Sanmukh Kaur

On the occasion of the 58th Engineers' Day, Dr. (Prof.) Sanmukh Kaur, Principal of DBRAIT (Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Institute of Technology), delivered an insightful presentation highlighting cutting-edge aspects of quantum computing and quantum cryptography. Speaking at this significant event, Prof. Kaur underscored the transformative potential of quantum technologies.

Prof. Kaur discussed key quantum principles including superposition, entanglement, and interference, elucidating how these enable quantum computers to solve complex problems exponentially faster than classical systems for certain applications. The presentation touched upon challenges in classical simulation of quantum systems and the promising role of quantum computing in areas like material simulation and cryptography.

Highlighting quantum cryptography's robust security features, Prof. Kaur noted the technology's ability to detect eavesdropping attempts owing to quantum states' sensitivity to measurement disturbances. The talk reflected interdisciplinary advancements involving physics, electronics, and computer science in progressing quantum computing research.

The presentation by Prof. Sanmukh Kaur on Engineers' Day emphasized the pivotal role of engineers in harnessing emerging technologies like quantum computing for societal and industrial progress.
