The Botanical Forum annual festival FLORISTIC '20 will be held on 8 - 9th Jan, 2020. All are requested to actively participate in various competitions and attend lectures from prominent resource persons from these Islands and mainland India.
The ISE is running a workshop for emerging ethnobiologists in Sirituba, Brazil, just prior to the 30th anniversary congress in Belem. The theme is “Ethnobiology in the 21st Century: reflecting on the Declaration of Belém 30 years on”. Applications open! Please share, thank you.

"Implications of mistaken identities in conservation of wild mangoes"
An article was published in Current Science vol 112, No. 6 by Author, Venkat Ramana, et. al.
In this article he expressed his views on the authentic identification of wild indigenous Mangoes of Andaman.
According to the Article, Mangifera andamanica, an endemic species is misidentified as Bouea oppositifolia and M. griffithi as M.andamanica. These species need thorough Taxonomic Review for their correct identification.
