The Department of Planning was established in 2021 under SOA, MIT ADT University (State Private University) as a part of MAEER’s Trust which is 40 years old.

M Plan (URP) Program is a two years full-time Postgraduate Program approved by ITPI, New Delhi.

Envisioning the future development of Dehu as a vibrant cultural and spiritual hub that balances heritage conservation with sustainable urban growth. The Development Plan aims to guide the town’s expansion through strategic land use planning, improved infrastructure, and inclusive development while preserving its historical and religious identity.

The proposal focuses on regulating urban growth through effective zoning and development controls, strengthening religious tourism by enhancing pilgrimage facilities and public amenities, and improving intra-city mobility through better regional connectivity. It also emphasizes sustainable and affordable housing solutions for the growing population, along with ecological restoration and revitalization of the Indrayani River riverfront as an accessible and vibrant public space.

This work reflects an approach towards creating a resilient, people-centric, and environmentally sensitive urban future for Dehu while respecting its cultural roots and spiritual significance.

Alandi Development Plan

Planning the future of Alandi through a vision that integrates heritage conservation, sustainable urban growth, improved infrastructure, and people-centric development. The Development Plan evaluation reflects a comprehensive planning approach focused on mobility, public amenities, environmental sensitivity, and strengthening Alandi’s identity as a major spiritual and cultural destination.

Dehu Development Plan

Envisioning Dehu as a culturally vibrant and sustainably growing urban center that preserves its spiritual heritage while addressing future development needs. The Development Plan focuses on strategic land use planning, ecological restoration, mobility enhancement, affordable housing, and strengthening pilgrimage infrastructure to create a resilient and inclusive urban future.

Envisioning the sustainable future of Alandi through a Development Plan that balances heritage preservation, urban growth, environmental sensitivity, and inclusive infrastructure development. The study aims to strengthen Alandi’s identity as a major spiritual and cultural destination while addressing the challenges of rapid urbanization through strategic planning interventions.

The proposal focuses on regulating land use and guiding planned urban expansion, improving pilgrimage infrastructure and public amenities, enhancing mobility and connectivity, upgrading civic infrastructure, and promoting sustainable housing and environmentally responsive development. Special emphasis has been given to preserving the cultural essence of Alandi, revitalizing public spaces, and creating a resilient urban framework that supports both residents and pilgrims.

The report reflects collaborative academic work involving field surveys, stakeholder interactions, data analysis, and planning strategies aimed at shaping a culturally sensitive, accessible, and sustainable urban future for Alandi.

Successfully completed the 5-day Value Added Course on “Advanced GeoSpatial Analytics with Drone Applications” at MIT School of Architecture and Planning, MIT ADT University.
The course provided valuable practical learning in GIS, drone technology, and geospatial analysis.
The visits to MRSAC and Survey of India offices gave us real-world exposure and a better understanding of professional applications in the planning and mapping sector.
