Weekly Council Call Update!

Alumni Success Story: Bansri Pandey

One morning in Nepal, a group of children gathered in a school courtyard, expecting another ordinary school day. Then a storyteller arrived.

A character stepped into the circle, a story unfolded, and suddenly the children were no longer just spectators. They were thinkers, problem-solvers, dreamers, and storytellers themselves.

This is the world that Bansari Pandey, ATI Foundation Diploma Batch 3 alumna and our Applied Theatre Ambassador in Nepal, is creating through her work in Theatre in Education.

Using storytelling and Forum Theatre, Bansri brings theatre directly to children and teachers. She doesn't simply tell stories, she invites children into them. When a conflict appears, the performance pauses. Questions emerge. Ideas flow. Children suggest solutions and discover the power of their own voices.

Through these experiences, theatre becomes a space for imagination, creativity, critical thinking, empathy, and joy.

Bansri's work is a living example of how Applied Theatre can transform learning and build meaningful connections. Her dedication, vision, and impact assure us that she is more than capable of carrying this work forward and expanding its reach.

We are proud to call her our ambassador and have complete faith that she will continue this journey with the same passion, commitment, and excellence for years to come.

Best wishes to Bansari Pandey.

If children cannot come to theatre, theatre can come to children.
