🎭 Theatre in Education – Learning Beyond the Classroom

Grade VI students of Akshara International School beautifully presented a Street Play based on their Civics Chapter 13 – The Value of Work. Through the powerful performance titled “Mehnat Ka Mulya”, students explored and expressed the dignity and importance of hard work in our daily lives.

A total of 8 impactful performances were staged, where students confidently showcased their acting skills, teamwork, and understanding of the concept through the medium of theatre.

The activity was conducted as a part of Theatre in Education (TIE), making learning creative, experiential, and meaningful.

VisionX – Visualise, Experience, Learn AR/VR Inauguration
Akshara International School proudly marked a significant milestone in innovative education with the inauguration of VisionX – Visualise, Experience, Learn, held on 11th February 2026 in the Computer Lab .This one-hour event celebrated the launch of a student-driven initiative that integrates Augmented Reality (AR) and Virtual Reality (VR) into classroom learning, aligning strongly with UN Sustainable Development Goal 4 – Quality Education, which emphasizes inclusive, equitable, and innovative learning opportunities for all.
The event was inaugurated by our Honourable Director Sir through a symbolic virtual ribbon-cutting ceremony, signifying the school’s commitment to embracing future-ready educational practices. The occasion was further graced by the esteemed presence of the Secondary Coordinator, CCA Coordinator, Lower Primary Incharge, and the Class Representative of Grade 2, whose encouragement and support added great significance to the launch.
VisionX, a core initiative conceptualized and led by Ms. Monisha Chambial, HOD – Computer Department, showcased six immersive digital platforms developed entirely by students—three AR and three VR websites based on the themes of Food, Animals, and Transport. These platforms were designed to transform abstract concepts into engaging visual experiences, fostering curiosity, creativity, and deeper conceptual understanding among learners.
Student presenters Aayush Kak (XI ) , Aarush Dube (XI), Kaushiki Bhuiya(XI) , Riya Chitre (XI) , Anurag Sur,(IX) confidently introduced the platforms and conducted live demonstrations for dignitaries, teachers, and young learners. The interactive sessions enabled attendees to explore virtual environments firsthand, generating excitement and enthusiasm, especially among junior students.
The initiative received highly positive feedback from the dignitaries, who appreciated the innovation, technical ex*****on, and student ownership demonstrated throughout the project. VisionX was lauded as an exemplary model of experiential learning where technology serves as a powerful tool to enhance understanding rather than replace traditional pedagogy.

🌟 Intra-School Innovation Exhibition 2026 🌟

Akshara International School proudly organized an Intra-School STEAM Exhibition for students of Grades 6 to 9 on 24 January 2026, in alignment with the objectives of the Atal Tinkering Lab (ATL), the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, and promoting innovation, creativity, sustainability, hands-on and skill-based learning.

The exhibition was formally inaugurated by our esteemed school leadership—the Honorable Director, Principal, Vice Principal, and Coordinators, whose presence inspired and encouraged our young innovators.

The exhibits included projects on Carpentry, PVC Pipe Models, 3D Design, Architecture Design, Design Thinking, Solar-Based Solutions, Advanced electronics and many more.

The event provided a vibrant platform for students to explore STEM skills, creativity, and real-world applications, Skill based learning, fostering confidence and collaborative learning.

Akshara International School glows with pride as Anwita Asati (Class IX-B) secures All India Best Cadet Rank 3 (JD/JW – Air Force) at RDC 2026, representing the Maharashtra Directorate, and Cadet Ayush Pathak earns the distinguished All India Best Briefer honour.
