Origami Mitra Pune

‘Pune Nagar Vachan Mandir’ is a 178 year old library that organizes a camp for children every year. For the past 5–6 years, they have been inviting us to conduct origami workshops as part of the camp.

This year, too, our enthusiastic members were involved in the sessions. So this year, Dipali Madam and Bhat Madam beautifully conducted the workshop for the children.

Seeing the children enjoy, learn, and create something from a simple sheet of paper is always a lovely experience ✨

Crease and Connect : Origami Camp

On 4 & 5 April, Origami Mitra Pune hosted a two-day members’ camp in Pune, bringing together enthusiasts to learn, teach, and grow together.

The camp focused on peer-to-peer learning, where members shared new models, techniques, and perspectives, creating an engaging and collaborative environment.

More than just folds, it was about building connections through a shared passion. 💫

Origami Mitra Pune is happy to share highlights from the second convention of Origami Groep Eindhoven, held last weekend ✨

Chinmay Gore, cofounder of Origami Groep Eindhoven (together with Jolette Flapper ) and a valued member of Origami Mitra Pune, was part of the organizing team. A total of 68 participants, including the organizers, came together and spent the entire weekend at a conference center from Friday to Sunday.

Participants joined from the Netherlands, Germany, France, Italy, Switzerland, Portugal, and the United States 🌍 The convention featured engaging workshops and a thoughtfully curated exhibition, fostering learning, exchange, and artistic expression throughout.

Sneha(), another member of Origami Mitra Pune based in the Netherlands, also attended and enjoyed the convention, and we are glad to share a glimpse through the photo she shared.

Origami Groep Eindhoven was honoured to host Riccardo Foschi (), an accomplished folder and designer. Here is a photo of Chinmay and Jolette presenting a gift to Riccardo 🎁

On 26 March, an engaging Origami Workshop was conducted at Army Public School, Ahilya Nagar, where a total of 77 enthusiastic students actively participated. The session was filled with creativity, learning, and hands-on exploration of the art of paper folding, as students discovered how simple sheets can transform into beautiful creations.

The workshop was conducted under the guidance of Mr. Milind Kelkar and Mr. Makarand Bapat, whose expertise and encouragement made the session both insightful and enjoyable for all participants.

Sunday, 22 March :
An international seminar on the Japanese language was arranged by Mrs. Swati Dharmadhikari at the Suman Mulgaonkar Hall, Maratha Chamber of Commerce. On this occasion, an origami display was showcased. 😊

Origami Mitra member Manas Manoj Joshi .joshi.2000 , Pune based architect and origami artist, has been featured in Sakal Saptahik for his remarkable 14-year journey in 3D Origami. From his first inspiration at an origami exhibition to creating large scale architectural replicas like the Taj Mahal, Sagrada Familia, and now the Ram Mandir project, his work reflects precision, patience, and deep structural understanding. Thousands of paper triangles, months of dedication, and architectural vision come together where origami transforms into monument scale art.

विद्यार्थी सहायक समिती येथे ओरिगामी कार्यशाळा

विद्यार्थी सहायक समिती, पुणे, येथील दृश्य कला विभागाच्या उद्घाटनप्रसंगी Origami Mitra Pune च्या वतीने विद्यार्थ्यांसाठी ओरिगामी कार्यशाळेचे आयोजन करण्यात आले. या कार्यशाळेचे संयोजन प्रज्ञा सातारकर, आयोजन हेमंत राजहंस व समन्वय निमिष पोतनीस यांनी केले.

या उपक्रमात Origami Mitra Pune चे सदस्य पूर्णिमा, उन्मेष, रूपाली आणि ऋतुजा यांनी सक्रिय सहभाग घेत विद्यार्थ्यांना ओरिगामी कलेचे प्रत्यक्ष मार्गदर्शन केले.

कार्यक्रमास प्रमुख पाहुणे म्हणून विवेक खटावकर (प्रसिद्ध शिल्पकार), तुषार रंजनकर (कार्यकारी विश्वस्त व उद्योजक), डॉ. ज्योती गोगटे (उद्योजिका), तसेच हेमंत राजहंस(चित्रकार) आणि प्रभाकर पाटील उपस्थित होते.

तसेच समितीचे कार्यकर्ते विनया ठोंबरे,समितीचे कार्यकर्ते विनया ठोंबरे, संजय अमृते, प्रदीप मांडके, कविता हेबाळकर आणि अनिता कहाते, सौ. शुभांगी चिरपुटकर आणि सौ. नीता गुळवणी यांचीही उपस्थिती लाभली.

ऊर्मी व प्राज फाऊंडेशन साठी पाली, ता. सुधागड, जि. रायगड येथे दिनांक २२, २३, २४ डिसेंबरला मकरंद बापट व मी खालील जिल्हापरिषदेच्या शाळांमध्ये दिड तासाची १२ ओरिगामी वर्कशॅाप्स घेतली.

दिनांक 13 व 14 डिसेंबर ला वैशाखरे, ता. मुरबाड, जि. ठाणे येथे ‘भिंगरी कला मोहोत्सव 2025’ झाला. तिथे ओरिगामी मित्र ला कार्यशाळा घेण्यासाठी आमंत्रण होत. तिथे साधारण 200 मुलं व मुलींचा वर्कशॅाप घेतल.

ऊर्मी व प्राज फाऊंडेशन साठी पाली, ता. सुधागड, जि. रायगड येथे दिनांक ३, ४, ५ डिसेंबर ला खालील जिल्हापरिषदेच्या शाळांमध्ये ओरिगामी वर्कशॅाप्स घेतली.
