Delhi Public School, Ranchi celebrated the International Day of Yoga 2026 with immense zeal, enthusiasm, and active participation from students and faculty members. The programme aimed to promote physical well-being, mental harmony, and the importance of adopting a healthy lifestyle through the ancient practice of yoga.Students of Classes VII and VIII, along with NCC cadets, enthusiastically participated in a special yoga session conducted under the guidance of the Yoga Faculty. Various yoga asanas and breathing exercises were demonstrated and explained by the instructors, enabling students to understand the significance and benefits of regular yoga practice. The participants performed different asanas with discipline and dedication, reflecting their commitment to holistic health and wellness.

Meanwhile, the students of Class VI attended a virtual yoga session and actively performed various yoga postures from their respective locations. The online session witnessed enthusiastic participation and served as an effective platform to spread awareness about the importance of yoga in maintaining physical fitness and mental well-being. A Quiz Competition and an Essay Writing Competition related to yoga were also organised for the students.

The celebration provided students with an opportunity to embrace the timeless wisdom of yoga and highlighted its role in fostering balance, concentration, and inner peace. The programme concluded with a pledge by the students to incorporate yoga into their daily routine and lead a healthy and disciplined life.

Adding to the spirit of the occasion, the students of Classes IV and V assembled in the Vivekanand Auditorium for a collective yoga session. Teachers, also enthusiastically participated in the practice and performed various yoga asanas with grace and commitment. As the auditorium echoed with a spirit of harmony and mindfulness, the participants demonstrated remarkable focus and synchrony, creating an atmosphere of calmness, unity, and positive energy that beautifully reflected the transformative power of yoga.

Creativity blossomed through the artistic endeavours of the students of Class V, who crafted vibrant and thought-provoking posters celebrating the significance of yoga. Their imaginative creations stood as colourful expressions of wellness, harmony, and the pursuit of a balanced life.

Father's Day was celebrated with immense joy and fervour by the students of Classes Nursery to II. The occasion served as a beautiful opportunity for the young learners to honour and express their love, admiration, and gratitude towards their fathers through a series of thoughtfully planned activities.

The Nursery students showcased their creativity by crafting delightful handmade cards, while the Prep students designed elegant tie crafts accompanied by heartfelt messages dedicated to their fathers. Students of Classes I and II also participated enthusiastically, adding warmth and vibrancy to the celebration.

The students of Class IV enthusiastically took part in a Badge-Making Activity. They designed colourful and innovative badges carrying heartfelt messages for their fathers.

The students of Class III showcased their artistic talents through a Card-Making Activity. They prepared beautiful handmade cards adorned with vibrant colours and thoughtful messages dedicated to their fathers.

The activities encouraged creativity and helped the students express their feelings of love and appreciation for their fathers.

Delhi Public School, Ranchi organised an insightful and interactive Career Counselling Session for the students of Classes XI and XII of the Commerce and Humanities streams. The session aimed at guiding students about higher education opportunities and preparing them for various prestigious entrance examinations. The programme was graced by the Honourable Principal, Dr. Jaya Chauhan, whose presence inspired and encouraged the students to pursue their aspirations with dedication and confidence.

The key resource persons for the session were Mr. Shubham Gautam, an alumnus of DPS Ranchi from the 2009 batch and presently a practising lawyer at the Jharkhand High Court, Ranchi, along with Mr. Abhishek Vishal and Mr. Kumar Ayush from Vidhigya, Ranchi. Drawing upon their expertise and experience, the speakers provided valuable insights into career opportunities in the fields of law, management, commerce, humanities and interdisciplinary studies.

During the session, the experts elaborated on the preparation strategies, examination patterns and eligibility criteria for some of the country's most sought-after entrance examinations, including the Common Law Admission Test (CLAT), All India Law Entrance Test (AILET), Common University Entrance Test (CUET) and Integrated Programme in Management Aptitude Test (IPMAT). They shared practical tips and tactics to help students effectively manage their preparation, strengthen conceptual understanding, improve time management and develop problem-solving skills.

The interactive session witnessed enthusiastic participation from the students, who actively engaged with the speakers and sought guidance regarding career choices, college admissions and examination preparation. The programme proved to be highly enriching and enabled students to gain clarity about their future academic pursuits and professional goals.
