International Day of Yoga 2026
Bose Institute observed the International Day of Yoga at Unified Academic Campus, Bose Institute on June 19, 2026. The programme was conducted by Shri Rama Shankar, Founder of Ananda Yoga Centre, Salt-Lake, Kolkata. The Faculty members, staff and students of Bose Institute participated in the programme.

It is our pleasure to announce that Bose Institute in association with Calcutta National Medical College & Hospital is organizing a Voluntary Blood Donation Camp on June 15, 2026 at its Unified Academic Campus. The camp starts at 10:30 am.

Undergraduate students (Botany, Semester VI) from Scottish Church College, Kolkata, visited the Madhyamgram Experimental Farm of the Bose Institute as part of their curriculum on 4th June 2026. They gained hands-on experience in field experiments of crop plants. They also visited the greenhouse facility for the transgenic rice plants. Finally, they were excited to see the animal house facility in the state-of-the-art CTAR (Centre for Translational Animal Research). The students, the first batch of NEP (National Educational Policy), returned with high spirits to pursue higher studies and explore the frontiers of research.

The 1st Bose Institute-NIBMG Conclave was held on May 29, 2026 at the Unified Academic Campus (UAC). The conclave was initiated by Prof. Kaustuv Sanyal, Director, BI and Prof. Sagar Sengupta, Director, BRIC-NIBMG with an aim to foster long-term collaboration between faculties of the two institutes. The conclave featured talks by faculties from both institutes to identify potential areas of mutual interest that could crystallise into long-term collaborative projects.

Maya Art Space in the heart of Kolkata is a unique platform for the art creators and an intimate and meaningful forum of multidisciplinary art forms- an ideal destination to explore the various art forms like painting, sculptures, photography, video and digital art. After years of curated exhibitions and talks, Maya Art Space has decided to move beyond the four walls and explore the city in the form of Maya Walk, a new venture with a series of specially curated walks to explore the untold and unknown side of the city.
On May 29, 2026 J.C. Bose Museum and Main Campus of Bose Institute was selected as a part of their “Maya Walk”. The heritage walk involved a guided tour to the historic Lecture Hall, Samadhi, Campus, J.C. Bose Museum and D.M. Bose Wing.
