We are delighted to share that Professor Dabiru Sridhar Patnaik, Professor & Registrar, O.P. Jindal Global University, has published an article titled, “Pedagogy Meets Purpose: Rethinking Higher Education in the Age of AI in The Times of India.”
The article examines how the rapid rise of artificial intelligence, alongside ongoing higher education reforms in India, is reshaping the way knowledge is taught, learned, and assessed. Prof. Patnaik argues that universities must move beyond the mere transmission of information and embrace learner-centric, inquiry-driven, and multidisciplinary approaches that cultivate critical thinking, originality, and ethical reasoning.

We are proud to celebrate the achievements of Film & New Media alumna Saanya Anand from the inaugural graduating batch of 2022 of Jindal School of Journalism and Communication (JSJC).
Her graduation film Do Chaar Din has been selected for the prestigious Viewing Room at 2026, organised alongside IFFI and supported by the National Film Development Corporation, Government of India — one of South Asia’s leading platforms for filmmakers and creative collaborators.
Adding to this remarkable milestone, the film has also received the Best Student Film Award at the Greenflash International Film Festival, an international hybrid film competition conducted by filmmakers from France and the Netherlands.
We are also delighted to acknowledge the talented cast and crew members from JSJC’s current 4th year batch — Aanvi Saraogi, Pravar Gupta, Vidushi Kashyap, Ojasvini, and Kashyap Joag, who contributed to bringing this vision to life. Do Chaar Din was shot entirely in Sonipat.

We were delighted to welcome the winners of the inaugural Inter-School Filmmaking Competition hosted by Jindal School of Journalism & Communication (JSJC) under the aegis of Kos Minar International Documentary Film Festival to the JGU campus today for the award ceremony and film screenings.
The competition saw registration from over 65 schools and submissions for the jury from 40 schools, bringing together remarkable young talent from across India and the world, including the Republic of Congo, Brazil, and the Philippines. It was inspiring to host these emerging filmmakers, along with their teachers, mentors, and parents, for a day dedicated to storytelling and the art of cinema.

Dr. H.R. Bhardwaj Memorial Lecture organised by on the theme “The Emergence of AI and Its Implications for Justice Delivery and Legal Systems” was delivered today by Hon’ble Mr. Justice Manmohan, Judge, Supreme Court of India today.
The lecture was organised in honour of Dr. H.R. Bhardwaj, whose distinguished contributions to law, public life, and institution-building continue to inspire generations of legal scholars, practitioners, and policymakers.
The lecture offered important reflections on the transformative impact of artificial intelligence on justice delivery, judicial processes, and the evolving legal landscape.
This occasion was also graced by the esteemed presence of Dr. Bhardwaj’s family members.

The launch of “Technology Law Regulations, Cyber Policy, and the Digital Landscape”, authored by Mr. and Prof. .in , brought together distinguished leaders from the legal, policy, and governance spheres for an insightful discussion on the evolving digital ecosystem.
The book was unveiled in the august presence of Chief Guest Shri Arjun Ram Meghwal, along with Guests of Honour Mr. R. Venkataramani, Attorney General for India; Mr. Tushar Mehta, Solicitor General of India; and Mr. Amitabh Kant, Former G20 Sherpa, Government of India.
The launch marked an important conversation on the intersection of technology, law, cyber policy, and the rapidly transforming digital landscape shaping the future of governance and innovation.
