Teacher Delegation Calls on CEO Ganderbal

Ganderbal, 24 June 2026:
A delegation of the General Line Teachers Forum (GLTF) District Ganderbal led by District President Dr. Zahoor Ahmad, today visited the office of the Chief Education Officer, Ganderbal, to extend a warm welcome to Mr. Nazir Ahmed Khan on assuming charge as Chief Education Officer Ganderbal.
The delegation felicitated CEO Sir by presenting welcome memento as a token of respect and goodwill. Members of the Forum congratulated Mr. Nazir Ahmed Khan on his new assignment and conveyed their best wishes.
During the interaction, the delegation expressed confidence in the leadership, administrative experience and vision of CEO Sir and hoped that the education sector in Ganderbal would achieve new milestones under his guidance.
Mr. Nazir Ahmed Khan thanked the members of the General Line Teachers Forum for their warm gesture and appreciated their commitment towards strengthening the educational ecosystem of the district. He assured the teaching fraternity of his full cooperation and support in addressing educational priorities and promoting academic excellence.

BARAMULLA, JUNE 2026:

A delegation of the Jammu & Kashmir General Line Teachers Forum (JKGLTF) district Baramulla led by its President Mr. Farooq Ahmad Sheikh, today called on the Chief Education Officer, Baramulla, Mr. Ghulam Nabi Najar Sahab, and accorded him a warm welcome on assuming charge as the head of the district education department.

The delegation comprised Provincial Organiser Mr. Naseer Ahmad Khan, Treasurer Mr. Mir Mohammad Shahid, Organiser Mr. Jameel Hussain Beig, Coordinator Mr. Mohd Shafi Rather, Zonal President Chandoosa Mr. Choudhary Nowshad Ahmad, District Member Mr. Mohd Ashraf Najar, Mr. Altaf Ahmad, Mr. Irfan Ali, and other prominent members and dignitaries of the Forum.

On the occasion, the Forum submitted a comprehensive memorandum highlighting various issues and demands concerning the teaching fraternity and the overall development of the education sector in District Baramulla. The delegation stressed the need for timely finalization and implementation of seniority lists, early conduct of Departmental Promotion Committees (DPCs), and filling up of available promotional vacancies to ensure career progression of eligible employees.

The Forum also highlighted the need for rationalization of teaching staff in accordance with institutional requirements, transparency in transfers and adjustments, prompt disposal of pending service matters, and timely release of all admissible service benefits. The delegation further emphasized the importance of strengthening school infrastructure, providing modern teaching-learning resources, ensuring adequate maintenance of school buildings, and establishing an effective grievance redressal mechanism for employees.

A major issue raised during the meeting was the long-pending verification and updation of service book entries of teachers who rendered their services during Winter Tutorial Programmes. The Forum urged the authorities to expedite the disposal of such cases so that the affected teachers receive their legitimate service benefits without further delay.

Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Farooq Ahmad Sheikh expressed confidence that under the able leadership of Mr. Ghulam Nabi Najar Sahab, the education sector in Baramulla would witness further progress and that the genuine concerns of teachers would receive due attention.

Mr. Ghulam Nabi Najar Sahab appreciated the constructive role being played by the Jammu & Kashmir General Line Teachers Forum in highlighting issues concerning the teaching fraternity. He assured the delegation that all genuine demands and grievances raised by the Forum would be examined on priority and addressed in accordance with established rules and procedures. He also emphasized the importance of collective efforts for improving educational standards and ensuring a conducive academic environment across the district.

The JKGLTF reiterated its commitment to working in close coordination with the education department for the welfare of teachers and the overall improvement of educational standards in the district. The Forum expressed hope that the new leadership would usher in an era of greater administrative efficiency, transparency, and academic excellence in Baramulla.

Anantnag, June 19, 2026:

- Transfer of teachers on the basis of rationalisation should be avoided in mid- session.
- While Shifting the attendance of the employees in general and teachers in particular, the respect and dignity should be taken into account , therefore prior written intimation is appreciated and applauded.
- Early disposal of TBP files
- Ensuring that the service books pending for the approval should be completed on priority basis.
- Ensuring full staff in understaffed schools.
- Providing HOIs to headless Middle and High Schools .

The worthy CEO gave a patient hearing to the delegation and assured timely redressal of genuine demands, in his domain and citing academic concerns and dignity of the teachers as main focus . At the end of the meeting the forum thanked the worthy CEO budgam for his patient hearing and assurance of timely redressal of genuine demands and committed together in lighting the lamp of knowledge and action for holistic development of the student community .
