CEO Srinagar Champions Digital Education Revolution and Infrastructure Push in High-Level Review Meeting
Srinagar: Mr. Ghulam Mohi-ud-din Bhat, Chief Education Officer Srinagar, convened a comprehensive review meeting at the meeting hall of National School, Karan Nagar. The meeting brought together key stakeholders to assess progress and chart a decisive roadmap for digital integration, school infrastructure development, and academic excellence.
The meeting was attended by Mr. Showkat Ahmad Gatoo, Assistant Director Planning; Mr. Showkat Hussain, Incharge Samagra Shiksha; the entire Samagra Shiksha team of CEO Srinagar; Ms. Nazrana, Member District Team VSK; all Zonal Education Officers,Zonal Cultural Coordinators; and members of the Zonal VSK teams.
During the meeting, Mr. Ghulam Mohi-ud-din Bhat conducted a detailed zone-wise review of the progress of Vidya Samiksha Kendra (VSK) Chatbots, including the JK Study Buddy Chatbot, JK Digilearn Chatbot, and JK Shikshak Sahayak Chatbot. Emphasizing the transformative potential of these digital tools in enhancing teaching-learning outcomes, CEO Srinagar directed all Zonal Education Officers to ensure 100% registration and active usage of these chatbots across both Government and Private schools in their respective zones.
To accelerate adoption, CEO Srinagar instructed the officers to launch a Special Zonal VSK Drive focused on mobilizing greater participation from Private Schools, marking a concerted effort to bridge the digital divide and create a unified, technology-enabled education landscape in the district.
CEO Srinagar directed all ZEOs to personally visit institutions functioning from rented buildings ,engage with community members, and identify suitable nearby Government land so that the matter can be taken up expeditiously with higher authorities for permanent solutions.
CEO Srinagar further stressed the importance of robust academic oversight, directing ZEOs to submit academic monitoring reports on a timely and regular basis. He also issued clear instructions to Zonal Cultural Coordinators to implement the Activities Calendar in letter and spirit, ensuring that detailed reports of all cultural and co-curricular activities are submitted on a daily basis.
The meeting also featured an in-depth review of zone-wise AAPAR ID creation and UDISE updation. CEO Srinagar directed the officers to clear all pending work within stipulated timelines, underscoring that accurate data management is critical for effective planning and resource allocation in the education sector.

*CEO Srinagar Gives Heartfelt Farewell to Ms. Anjum Raja on Elevation as Incharge CEO Pulwama*. 06/15/2026 Srinagar: A heartfelt and dignified farewell function was organized by Chief Education Officer Srinagar and the entire staff of the CEO Office to honor Ms. Anjum Raja, DEPO Srinagar, on the occasion of her elevation and relieving as Incharge Chief Education Officer, Pulwama.
The event was graced by Mr. Zahoor Ahmad Khanday, Chief Accounts Officer, Directorate of School Education Kashmir.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Ghulam Mohi-ud-din Bhat warmly congratulated Ms. Anjum Raja on her well-deserved promotion and new assignment. He lauded her outstanding contribution as DEPO Srinagar and highlighted her exceptional qualities of sincerity, professionalism, and leadership.

Chief Education Officer Srinagar Conducts Comprehensive Inspection of Primary Schools in Hawal Zone, Emphasizes Community Partnership and Infrastructure Development
08/06/2026 Srinagar: Mr. Ghulam Mohi-ud-din Bhat, Chief Education Officer , Srinagar, visited multiple primary schools in the Hawal Zone to inspect the status of Assured Minimum Facilities (AMF).
During his extensive field visit,he inspected Primary School Khushalsar, Primary School Botshahmohalla, Primary School Umar Colony, and Primary School Dagkadal. He conducted a thorough on-ground assessment of classrooms, sanitation facilities, drinking water and other essential infrastructure parameters critical for the holistic development of young learners.
Engaging directly with teachers, students, and local community members, CEO Srinagar underscored the pivotal role of community participation in school improvement. He urged parents and residents to actively collaborate with school authorities in all matters related to Assured Minimum Facilities, describing it as a shared responsibility that directly impacts the future of children.
“Education is not just the duty of the department but a collective mission of society. The active involvement of community members is essential for nurturing institutions that truly serve our children,” Mr. Ghulam Mohi-ud-din Bhat stated during his interaction.
On spot, he directed the concerned Zonal Education Officer (ZEO) to immediately organize a series of meetings with community stakeholders to chalk out comprehensive plans for the overall development of these schools. The focus will be on enhancing both curricular excellence and vibrant co-curricular activities, aiming to create well-rounded educational experiences for students.
In a forward-looking directive aimed at long-term sustainability, CEO Srinagar instructed all Zonal Education Officers across Srinagar district to proactively identify suitable government land for the construction of owned school buildings. The meeting brought together Ms. Anjum Raja, DEPO Srinagar and District Nodal Officer (DNO) Vidya Samiksha Kendra (VSK), along with District VSK team members Ms. Nazrana and Mr. Abid, Principals, Zonal Education Officers , Headmasters, and members of Zonal VSK Committees.
Mr. Ghulam Mohi-ud-din Bhat warmly welcomed all participants . Ms. Anjum Raja and her team presented a comprehensive school-wise performance analysis and the current status of digital initiatives across Srinagar district.

The meeting witnessed detailed discussions on key performance areas, with the CEO issuing clear, actionable directions:
Student Attendance Compliance
Strict instructions were issued for 100% daily attendance submission through the JK Students Attendance Chatbot.
Principals were directed to achieve 100% enrollment and regular usage of JK DigiLearn and JK Study Buddy Chatbots, particularly in high-enrollment institutions and submit compliance reports.
Noting that only 3,728 parents have registered on the JK Parents Pulse Chatbot so far, the CEO called for intensive awareness campaigns by ZEOs and Principals, aiming for near-100% parent registration.
Academic Discipline During Inspections
Emphasizing the need to maintain academic calendar sanctity, the CEO directed schools to avoid unsanctioned holidays around unit tests and conduct unit tests in regular classwork days.
Visiting GAD officers are submitting student feedback on teaching quality, school environment, and other parameters via the Chatbot .Principals and Headmasters must immediately act on the guidance shared by these officers.
All schools must meticulously maintain
Statistical registers with daily student attendance
Last three years’ subject-wise result records
Functional ICT Labs and Libraries with proper issue and usage registers.
Zonal Education Officers, supported by Vidya Samiksha Kendra Zonal Task Forces, were tasked with ensuring 100% registration and active usage of all major chatbots by private schools.
All schools must submit daily ATRs on the usage of JK Study Buddy, JK DigiLearn, and JK Shikshak Sahayak Chatbots .
The meeting concluded on a note of renewed commitment to excellence, transparency, and technology-driven education reform.
